Nice food and good prices, not traditional one though. Vegetarian stuff and nice organic coffee. Peaceful place for reading as well.

We went here on a Friday night and were pleased to find a live local band! The service was lovely and the food was really quite good. The atmosphere is pretty casual, with couches around a fireplace and hotel guests just enjoying the space. All in all it was a nice night out, but it is more expensive than most... More

Loved this place the first time, but our second visit was not as inspired. Maybe it was because they do a better breakfast than lunch? It's still as lovely inside and out as it was the first time, but the food took forever to arrive--there was only one other table in the restaurant---and a $6 vegetable panini on whole wheat... More

We really enjoyed the food there but though it was slightly too expensive. Items on the menu don't include the +22% tax, meaning that a plate cost more than 11$. Chicken pie was excellent. And the chocolate cookie with ice cream was one of the best dessert in my life!!

We stayed 3 days and looked in a number of restaurants in Otavalo, but kept returning to Pachamama as it had so many great choices and everything we tried was superb.

Great food, and wonderful willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff are so warm and friendly, you really feel at home. We especially love the chocolate chip cookies with ice cream.

I kept looking for restaurants outside of the hotel la posada del Quinde and came to realize that the food here is delicious, fresh and inventive. Plenty on he menu for both vegetarians and no -vegetarians.

Having eaten there quite a bit as it is my favorite Otavalo restaurant, I often order the Quinoa Soup with Goat Cheese and Tomato crackers on the side. Warm and thoughtful staff. Outdoor patio is a plus.

My first visit to Otavalo ... I was so impressed with the staff at Cafe Pachamama and Maggie , the owner. My lunch ,mole' enchilada casserole, was fantastic! The mole was obviously home made, dark , rich and creamy. It was layered with tender beans, cheddar cheese and tortillas. I loved it - delicious !The Pachamama Breakfast the next day... More

Being a vegan we had some difficulties finding appropriate food for our diets it Ecuador, but they guys were so accomodating. Don't forget to try the Maggie Pizza, it's yummy! The setting is beautiful and comfortable as well. Oh, ask them to set you up with a sub sandwich to-go, if you plan on doing any hiking.
