Cafe Pachamama is located inside hotel La Posada del Quinde, just five blocks from the Plaza de Ponchos market. Our fireplace lounge, outdoor patio and garden provide something extra for travelers, as well as our freshly-prepared, organic food with local ingredients. To top it off, we offer more vegetarian options than any other restaurant in town and many delicious meat options as well. But even if you're not a vegetarian, we have plenty of meat-based dishes and burgers to please meat-eaters as well.

Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, great staff!

Café Pachamama was also outstanding. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights while in Otavalo. Each morning we started off with a fresh fruit salad and bread with the best homemade strawberry preserves that I've ever had (I think I will miss this the most!). We ate there twice for dinner. I had the... read more

Had an excellent group meal here. The staff handled it perfectly and our meal was excellent. We had at least one person with some dietary issues and they handled that very well and were keen to make sure that all our meals were perfectly done.

We stayed at the hotel and had the vegetarian lasagna, it was delicious! Wish he had time to try more from the vegetarian menu as it all sounded so good! Delicious breakfast, the fresh baked bread was such a treat! And the coffee was one of the best brews we've had in South America. It's even a really nice place... More

This restaurant feels homely from the moment you walk in. The decor is gorgeous and tasteful, with a fireplace & lounges. The menu is a delight with so many lovely options, many of them vegetarian. We opted for the sesame stir fry and the chicken curry pot pie... Both were delicious. We also ordered pisco sours which were so strong... More

This place is just a wee walk away from the plaza del ponchos, and worth it. The food is really tasty and fresh, the staff are helpful and friendly and the place is really cute. We were there for lunch but will be back for dinner when the fire is on!

I enjoyed my last visit for lunch, when I met up with some old friends there. A couple friends suggested the quinoa encrusted shrimp, which I ordered, but I was not equally enthusiastic, The quinoa kind of overwhlemed the shrimp, and the dish ended up too bland for me. Other dishes were also good, creative and wholesome, if also a... More

I went with my family and my father and brothers` families too. The location is really easy to find. As always I went due to tripadvisor comments. I must agree that for vegetarians is a paradise. The vegetarian dish was fantastic. It was a spinach quiche. However, the other dishes have too much salad. It was fine for me but... More

We were at the market on Saturday and asked an American shopkeeper for a recommendation for dinner and this was his place. The menu was a good mix of Ecuadorean dishes with a bit of a California twist. I would definitely recommend for dinner, and the breakfast menu looked delicious as well.
