The place is pretty and the food is varied and good. The local crafts make the room colorful and interesting to get up and look at. American owner who understands how to make a traveller comfortable and well fed. Off the beaten path, so it's not so easy to just pop in, but its' worth the effort.

This cafe is well priced with some of the tastiest food we have experienced at any hotel in Ecuador. We ate all our meals here as the food and ambiance was so perfect. You can dine by the fireplace or sit by the window and enjoy the lovely gardens and birds. The selection of foods is great and the proportions... More

Located in the beautiful La Posada del Quinde, this restaurant offers a variety of foods for any weary traveler. The restaurant is on the main floor of the hotel that is decorated with a variety of local art and crafts that you can buy as well as a very inviting fireplace/sitting area. Vegetarian options are great, to include the Cheese... More

I stayed at this hotel with a volunteer group and ate the food every day and not a single person didn't enjoy it. Lots to choose from with plenty of vegetarian options. Don't forget to order dessert, the cookie is to die for!

I had the Chicken Pot Pie and Quinoa Encrusted Shrimp at the Pachamama Cafe. All bites tasted as good as the first one - they're meals you dream about but can't have until you return for another visit. Thanks Maggie and staff for excellent menu choices.

We had dinner 3 times in Cafe Pachamama during our stay in Otavalo and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The menu was imaginative and the good sized portions were fresh, well prepared and delicious. The service was spot on - pleasant and timely. The chocolate cookie and ice cream dessert is a delight not to be missed. Well worth a visit.

Everything felt very fresh and well made. More vegetables and vegetarian options than you usually get while traveling. I loved the tuna salad inside an avocado

This is a great spot - open most of the day and staffed with a group of wonderful ladies, we ate dinner here twice. The salads were wonderful - large, fresh, well dressed and very delicious. We had many selections from the menu - it was all very good. They use only organic ingredients whenever possible which makes the price... More

Maggie and her team at Pachamama are dedicated to bringing the freshest local ingredients and dishes to their guests. We were staying in the hotel and enjoyed two dinners, two breakfasts and a lunch at Pachamama. The mixed salads were great, as were the lasagna, pizza and quinoa lentil cakes. The food is delicious and the prices are quite reasonable.... More

I love coming here after a long day of hiking or shopping and sit by the fireplace and have a nice wine. Always a place to meet other travelers. Food is good too
