We went to a weaver's shop and they showed us how weaving was done through time. This used authentic old fashion tools and machines. Then we got to shop all different items that looked to be of high quality.

I went to Mi Otavalito with a group of 8 people. The food is probably a bit pricey by local standards (around $6 for ceviche and around $9 for steak with eggs and two sides). The ceviche, hands down (according to four people including a Columbian), was the best we have ever had in our entire lives. I also had... More

My wife and I ate here and the food was not that good. Really. All of the customers were gringos - no locals. I don't know how it got all these positive reviews. Its overpriced for the quality of food. Try Taco Bello (no relation to Taco Bell) or Pizza Siciliana . Taco Bello is less than half the price... More

We went here with a large group of 20 people, and they were very accommodating. The menu had steak, chicken, fish and shrimp dishes, and were very reasonable (ex. $8.80 for the filet mignon). Over various times, I had the steak, chicken and shrimp and they were all very good (on a side note, they don't shell the shrimp, so... More

Good food, nice atmosphere. Close to the market. No negatives to this one. Felt very welcoming there. Might be a bit over priced but not bad for a treat.

I had dinner here a Friday night, the food was OK, not exceptional, but nothing to fault either. There was live music, but the ambience was a little lost, with 3 or 4 big tour groups. A good option in Otavalo, but you have to put up with the noise of the "gringo" tour groups.

We bring almost all of our volunteer groups to Mi Otavalito for a first lunch. We order ahead, and the meals are always ready when we arrive and well organized. Good local dishes.

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch while running some errands. It's a more expensive restaurant than the typical for an "amuerzo", but it is also above average and worth the price. We had very good food and service and were both pleased with our meals which included appetizer of ham torte; bean soup; main course of stewed... More

This is one of our favorite places near Cotacachi. The beef, chicken, and pork dishes are consistently flavorful and good meat. They serve many expats as well as locals and all find a friendly, well attended, good food service. Try the Chateau Briande(sp?)for a very tasty "carne de rez".

A warm, cozy and friendly Ecuadorean restaurant. Extremely clean, fresh food, happy staff. Nice menu options - cold beer and full bar. I had a wonderful chicken breast in mushroom sauce with fries. The best meal I had in Otavalo in 4 days!
