Items not available and very poor

Cosy setting and lovely smiling staff but we were informed that there was no beef, trout or would you believe spaghetti available the evening we were there. MY husband had the pork - one piece tender and one like old boots. My chicken would have been OK if not smothered in a nasty garlic sauce- at... read more

Came here for lunch and had the menu del dia which at $8 I initially thought was slightly pricey, but it was more than worth it. We shared one menu between two people and there was so much food we were both full. There were two starters, a delicious soup and a potatoe and veg croquette in a lovely sauce.... More

Daily Grind has been closed apparently for renovation, but I have just heard that it will be coming back in two weeks. Best coffee in Ecuador. Gringos can also get toasted bagel, fresh crepes and delicious cupcakes that are apparently hand made. But the coffee and espresso are reasons to stop by. It's right in the center of town on... The staff was fabulous at this restaurant located close to the Plaza de Los Ponchos. The food was average and expensive but served in a nice atmosphere.

But mostly everything we asked for was "sold out". The service is very friendly and the place is nice - we will try again...

A little expensive but a very pleasant place with good food. $21 for 2 shrimp dishes and drinks. Locals were having a birthday party so a bit crowded. Very pleasant waitress patient with my poor Spanish.

We went to a weaver's shop and they showed us how weaving was done through time. This used authentic old fashion tools and machines. Then we got to shop all different items that looked to be of high quality.

I went to Mi Otavalito with a group of 8 people. The food is probably a bit pricey by local standards (around $6 for ceviche and around $9 for steak with eggs and two sides). The ceviche, hands down (according to four people including a Columbian), was the best we have ever had in our entire lives. I also had... More

My wife and I ate here and the food was not that good. Really. All of the customers were gringos - no locals. I don't know how it got all these positive reviews. Its overpriced for the quality of food. Try Taco Bello (no relation to Taco Bell) or Pizza Siciliana . Taco Bello is less than half the price... More

We went here with a large group of 20 people, and they were very accommodating. The menu had steak, chicken, fish and shrimp dishes, and were very reasonable (ex. $8.80 for the filet mignon). Over various times, I had the steak, chicken and shrimp and they were all very good (on a side note, they don't shell the shrimp, so... More
