The restaurant was recommended by the hotel. The first impression was good, a bit old style though. We showed up with short trousers as it was very hot in Guayaquil. This was not very well perceived, however they did not say anything. Initially we were not given a lot of attention. After we had ordered a starter, main course and... More

Situated at the inland end the main street in Guayaquil this rather formal yet friendly restaurant has been recommended for it seafood. Therefore ordered the grilled king prawns and Cannelloni Florentine which were stuffed with scallops, scrimps and spinach, these were both very good. As the portions were quite sizeable all that could be managed for desert was a passion... More

We wanted to eat a fine seafood dinner in Guayaquil before heading to the Galapagos. The shrimp guacamole appetizer and the paella were amazing. My son had ceviches which he described as excellent. The staff was attentive and helpful, and patient with out not so perfect Spanish. Highly recommended.

We made reservation at 8.10 pm. on a Monday evening to 8.30 pm. Got to the restaurant at 8.20. Got a table at 9.10, and got the first dish at 9.50. Simply not good enough. The food was good, but somewhat overpriced.

My wife and I asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant near the Hotel and we had one of the finest meals we have had in a long time. Very attentive staff and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable meal.

Took nearly an hour and a half to get our food once ordered. Waiter inattentive, slow. Want water? That's an extra charge, for each bottle, and you will wait 15 minutes to get it. My 25 dollar sea bass dish was just average, and riddled with bones.

I asked the concierge to recommend a seafood restaurant in the area and that I would like it to be casual as I was not dressed in my finest, although fair enough. The reservation was made, I jumped in the cab and off I went. I arrived at Caracol Azul and the car door was opened for me, I was... More

Great selection of seafood and other dishes for those not into mariscos or allergic to them. Fried plantain chips and dipping sauces are wonderful. Service is great and ambiance is good too. The selection of ceviches is great and the cold and hot entrees have you covered if you're just feeling peckish.

We had dinner there last weekend during a break on a trip home from the Galapagos. The food was among the best meals we have had anywhere. The grilled octopus appetizer, the paella and grilled swordfish were tasty and perfectly prepared. Fried plantains were perfect. We were among the first diners that evening and were colorfully greeted at the door... More
