I consider Riviera the best italian restaurant in Guayaquil, not only because il sapore, but also because the quality of all the products served in every plate. All fresh, and tasteful. A bit expensive for ecuadorian standards, but quality is priceless when you enjoy a precious italian meal, ben oltre i confini italiani !!! Auguri e buon appetito !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an old restaurant in Guayaquil which preserves the excellent quality and great Italian food. Price is not the lowest but it is worth to pay a little bit more. As in other good old restaurants service is also very good, once the place is run by the owners and the waiters have a long time there so the... More

We had a wonderful dinner. The place is may-be a little bit cold, but the food was fabulous. Excellent octopus carpaccio and good pasta al dente. The wine lust is too small for such a good restaurant.

I have been in Riviera at least 50 times throught many years. They have been in business at least 30 years. They have not lost that special touch. Food quality is very good and they are consistent in preserving its standards. I had the beef carpaccio and home made raviolis. My wife octupus and gnocci al pesto. All dishes were... More

I must say this is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to in Guayaquil. It has been here quite a few years already, and it has maintained if not improved the quality. Usually I stick to any variety of pasta. I can only speak of those. Great for a quick weekday lunch or dinner, for a birthday... More

Had a couple tries at this restaurant and it's safe to say that it's one of the best italian restaurants in Guayaquil. Starting from the olive oil (brought over from Italy exclusively for this restaurant) to the entrees and the great desserts... not the best ever, but price-wise it is one of the best. Service is good, neither too intrusive... More

It was good, but not amazing. Service was great. We ate lunch a 2pm. Pasta was good, Sea Bass was average, Dessert was good and coffee too. Bread was wonderful. Simple but good food.

I went to this restaurant on a business dinner and I found the atmosphere and food quality to be very good. The octopus was very flavorful and we ordered a fish cooked in a block of salt, which was also very good. Servers were on top of us (without being annoying) to make sure we were happy. Overall á very... More

A popular street food in mountainous regions is hornado, consisting of potatoes served with roasted pig. Some examples of Ecuadorian cuisine in general include patacones (unripe plantains fried in oil, mashed up, and then refried), llapingachos (a pan seared potato ball), and seco de chivo (a type of stew made from goat). A wide variety of fresh fruit is available,... More
