Pick Piccolo

I ate here the night the Pope arrived n Guayaquil, so the crowd was sparse. It's decorated well and the menu selection is large. Our party had fish, Gnocci, and vegetarian lasagna. They were all beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. Service was attentive and prompt, music was classic Italian.

Located in the "trendy" Urdesa neighborhood, this Italian restaurant is one of the, if not the, best known Italian restaurants in the port city of Guayaquil. For a long time its name has been synonymous of quality and excellent food with a good relation between quality and price. For this reason, and just to take a visiting friend to a... More

Had a really good meal out. It is quite expensive compared to local eats in downtown but worth a trip if you fancy a little escape and some great seafood with an extensive wine list. Starters are HUGE and I eat a lot so recommend sharing. Staff were really friendly and attentive.

we wound up at the Trattoria completely by chance. We were meeting a friend at a café she enjoyed, but had not been to in a couple of years. Our taxi chofer made a valiant effort, but couldn't find it. We picked up our friend and stopped at La Trattoria. The service was attentive without overbearing. The prices were about... More

I found the decoration a little weird and overcharged but many people like it, the personal was very attentive and the owner ready to serve you. The minestrone soup was good but to my surprise of green color, except in Peru I always find it red. The tomato sauce of my generous Robalo fish was over salty, I had to... More

Expensive and the food was bad. The pizza was terrible and the only thing good is the feeling you get. I think trip-advisor got it wrong or something.

Amazing place - you could imagine you were in Venice. Waiters polite and attentive but not in your face. Great atmosphere with Italian music including the three tenors in Rome! Worth taking camera for pictures.

I returned to Ecuador after 4 years and decided to go back to my favorite restaurant en Guayaquil to the Trattoria da Enrico. I discovered that the restaurant had changed ownership and a new name Piccolo Mondo. I was afraid it would not be the same with my surprize the restaurant had been completely remodeled and the food was out... More

I think I'm living in a parallel universe! I don't know how so many people got this one wrong??? I've been coming to Guayaquil for almost 30 yrs now, I should have probably known this, but I still have hopes that things change for the better over the course of time. If you go to a latin country you should... More
