This restaurant is located right at El Malecon. Service and food are OK. The environment is very good with great views and music videos. Overall I would recommend.

My sisters in-law and I were looking for a place to be entertained one night at malecon, and it was noche mexicana at Resaca. From 8pm to midnight was all you can eat tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and nachos with all you can drink cola, beer, and margaritas for $16.99 a person. It was a good gimmick and got us...

I really liked the food there. They serve traditional Guayaquileña food which tasted delicious. I suggest "Cazuela de mariscos".
Last night in Ecuador we went to this restaurant. It has both seat inside with air conditioning or outside on top, with a view directly on the river. The quality of food was very good, both seafood and meat, also quantity was generous!
Special offer of the day was starter then as much crab as you can eat in choice of sauces plus beer or wine. Loud Latin American music on 3screens. We only managed 2 buckets between 6 of us. Not haut cuisine but great fun
There are limited eating options on the Malecon if you aren't in the food court area and you don't want ice cream or a soda. By the time we found this place, we were literally starving. It took FORVER to get our drinks, I don't know why I thought it wouldn't take just as long to get our food. It...

This is a perfect place to eat outside, on the upper decl, with a nice breeze, great food, and happy hour!
If you are in Guayaquil and are not looking to experience the city and get a taste of Ecuador's version of Applebees by all means waste your money at Resaca. The food is certainly sub-par in comparison to what you can find in other parts of the city and if you are visiting other places along the Pacific Coast of...

On the waterfront with outside seating, they had a deal for $18 you got 3 crabs, a mallet, and all the beer you could drink! Plus great ceviche and crab salad in fried plantain cups. Definitely recommended!
They serve all you can eat crab and all you can drink beer twice a week. The name of the restaurant translates to 'the hangover', there is no mystery here. It is a great place to stop, have a drink and sit in the breeze if you are already walking the Malecon 2000, but do not go out of your...
