The juices are big and cold which is perfect for Guayaquil weather. The fruit salad was delicious, fresh and sweet fruit. It was a bit expensive but worth it.

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I go back to my country Ecuador. I have been to the ones in Guayaquil located in Barrio del Centenario and Urdesa and I love both of them. Last time visited this place in Urdesa in July 2011 with my husband and some friends. As always we had a great... More

I visited the branch on the Malecon on July 2, 2014 for lunch. The interior of the restaurant is windowless and dimly lit, and their was a mild smell of mildew. The waiter seemed bothered to have to attend to us. Although the juices were excellent and the food was good, the prices are not justified. I imagine that is... More

Ate there yesterday and had a really tasty lunch. Drinks were ok but pretty weak, probably because it was happy hour. Th music did not match the atmosphere though and they started burning very strong scented incense while i ate which kimda sucked. All in all a nice place to eat and i would suggest it

Oh my Goodness, I never want to leave. I want to try all the various fruit mixes they have. The juices are chilled and strained to perfection. For little to nothing, under $2.00USD you can have your fill of your favorite fresh fruit drink, smoothie etc.

Guayaquil relentlessly doesn't cater to foreigners. With little culture to exhibit and a westernized-white-washed array of restaurants it takes an effort to find unique places in Guayaquil. Frutabar is by no means a 'cultural experience' but is a nice place to relax and enjoy a delicious Maracuya Daquiri, a fresh fruit batido (smoothie) or a sandwich. It's conveniently located near...
