Excellent

We visited between lunch and dinner. The menu was easy to use with a great variety in each section. We decided to get dishes to share. We had the Crab to begin. It came in a bowl with sauce and we had a hammer to crack it open. Unnerving on a glass plate but we were ok! Delicious. Next we... read more

We were in Guayaquil during crab season and wanted to try local crab. Red Crab was a good choice, offering several tasty options including garlic sauce and pesto. The "special" version means the crab is already shelled and in the sauce. Without the "special". It's served in the shell with a hammer to crack it open. I recommend cracking it... More

I must acknowledge I was not astonished by the taste of Ecuadorian food. Having enjoyed Spanish (South, but specially North) Atlantic one, taste of Pacific shellfish and other delicacies is hard to match the standard. But in all, food was tasteful, staff was kind and quick, and price was convenient.

Loved the sea food here. The crab was moist and succulent. Read my full review of this restaurant in my blog: http://www.madaboutdeetravel.com/2015/07/restaurant-red-crab-guayaquil-yum-says.html

A very filling meal on the last day of a trip to Ecuador on the recommendation of our host. We ordered three dishes between us which was more than plenty, the highlight being the ceviche. The staff were prompt & courteous, the price was a bit more than other places we had eaten at on the trip but still good... More

Just went there on a business meal with a couple of Guayacos. The food was Good. It is a big restaurant but the atmosphere doesn't feel like an upscale Restaurant - Like a $30 a plate one…

Nice enough setting, very polite and attentive staff, and a varied menu make this restaurant perfect for any excuse to get together. Seafood dishes are very good, but if yor are not into it, they have good red meat, pork and poultry alternatives. Their sangria is excellent!

The place was recommended to us by our hotel. Overall, pleasant atmosphere, good service and the food was good as well. Frankly, the best part of the meal was the appetizer- mixed seafood ceviche. For the main meal we had crab risotto and crab in coconut sauce(see my pics). The entrees were just Okay. If you do visit, get the... More
