Another traditional place

One of Guayaquil's traditional places, owned by an historic fútbol player from one of the city's team. A recent visit, not my first one, with five Swedish business executives was interesting. These well travelled gentlemen were excited about the size and the QUALITY of the meet, as well as the wine. And the story about the owner is a positive one - a Uruguayan football player - goal-keeper stayed in Guayaquil and made a second success!

Food quality is very good, service is great, they have this cheese sauce that it's delicious.

La Parrilla was recommended by the concierge at Hilton Colon and very convenient to the hotel...it's just a block away. None of the staff seemed to speak English so we worked with our limited but collective Spanish. The menu is quite extensive and we chose to stick with the basics and went with the barbequed steaks. They were tender and... More

It was a good restorant in the past. In these days there is no difference from a shooping mall food court.

Quite possibly the worst parrillada I have had in my 30 years of traveling. So bad that we left 95% of the food on the table, and ran to a nearby coffee shop to get the taste out of our mouths. They do a dishonor calling the place argentinian or uruguayan parrillada. Every piece of meat or sausage tasted old,... More

I have been eating here and at the location in Urdesa for about 15 years now. I USED to love eating here. Portions were huge and prices more than reasonable. Over the years prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Well the prices are really outrageous now. I had the "Milanesa Steak", it was dry and the portion... More

A small restaurant with a large charcoal BBQ. Good meat served just cooked mostly to order. Meat served with a large salad or baked potato. Reasonable price and good friendly service. The waiter remembered me and showed me a card that I gave him over a year ago.

When you are really hungry this is the best place to go too. After seeing the amount of meat they put on your plate and how tasty it is, and how fast the service is, then you leave the place satisfied.

Price was reasonable, dinner few beers and tip did not excedded $40.00 including Tax. Definitely will recommend this place to visiting friends.
