We expected more after all the positive reviews we have seen. Ambient is ok, the service is acceptable, but distanced. The food was average, we had to look at the bill to see what we had there!
Realy fascinating. Cosy and friendly. Their carpacio with raw orada, mussels and squid is amazing. Everything so fresh. For main course we ate fresh fresh schrimps in buzara. Can't wait to meet them again next year. The desert "millefoglie" is top of the top.
From all the comments i was expecting something better. The restaurant is were cosy and domestic like. But sorry the food was very average. We had a misunderstanding with the weightier and ordered the cold starter ganonni mix and to our dislike it was only raw fish, squid and shells that were still alive. Not something that would go down... More
The food, wine, and service were the best at this local spot! The truffle ravioli and pomegranate were amazing. Don't miss out on dessert, it was an emotional experience. The staff felt like family.
This restaurant was recommended by the apartment owner. As this one was inside the old town but away from the shore which may be difficult to find. The first dinner we had was recommended by the waiter Corrado that including starter shrimp, octopus salad and scallops. The main was 2 portion mixed grill seafood. To our surprise was Corrado brought... More
Very good food and service, slightly expensive but worth it and the house wine was very very good and not that expensive. The raviolis with truffles are to die for as well as all the deserts. My friends always had fish and it was fresh and delicious. They bring bread and a tuna tartare to the table which most restaurants... More
Lovely waiters, lovely fresh fish and sea food, nice house wine. I would say slightly expensive. But would definitely recommend this hidden gem.
We visited the restaurant in the second week of September 2013. The weather was excellent and still very warm in the evenings so we sat in the terrace area. Fantastic ambience away from the madding crowds up a side street in the old town. No music intruding which was a very nice change! Very good service - including providing a... More
This restaurant was recommended by the owner of our rental apartment. We made a reservation for the outside area in the street, and our table was waiting as requested. We had a warm cheese on a roasted pepper appetizer for two, and it was excellent with the good bread. We both had scampi in garlic sauce, a traditional dish served... More
Giannino every day has fresh fishes and the owner is very cordial/friendly. The very special dishes that you can try are: starter uncooked shellfish, San Pietro oven baked, chocolat cake or millefoglie cake. Don't forget Malvasia wine with every fish dishes and a sweet wine with the cake.
