My partner and I have been to Hvar Town many times and we keep coming back to Bonaca for its good, hearty, unpretentious local cuisine (my particular favourite is the swordfish steaks with parmesan sauce). We are always warmly welcomed by the friendly, attentive staff - Teo in particular who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome... More

We had a fantastic evening here yesterday, happening on this place by accident. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Chateau briand steak was excellent, wonderful local red wine, and tasty unexpected extras of pate and dessert. Thoroughly recommended

Had a great meal here last night. Fish pâté for starter which came with lovely lightly toasted bread. Followed by mussels for her and a black risotto for me. Both were delicious. Finished off with a chocolate crepe. Waiter was superb and a really good laugh but in a very non-intrusive way, gave us a desert wine and some local... More

We really enjoyed our time in this restaurant.First of all a cold plate bonaca with ham, octopus and salted anchovies. By a recomand we took a local speciality pasticada a beef in a red wine with plums and other spices. Although we were having a bottle of good dalmatian wine we were offered to try a house red wine and... More

We paid a visit to this restaurant - by accident. While looking and speaking about a delicious lamb entree with a waiter at the outside menu board of a restaurant, we were approached by a man who appeared to be the manager of the waiter. In the middle of our conversation with the waiter, the "manager" started to speak with... More

An unpretentious eatery in Hvar with good views of the harbour, albeit through the more expensive restaurant next door. Very friendly staff and good simple local food, the fish stew was particularly good. An ok selection of Croatian wine but ask for wine from the restaurant owners vineyard, which produce a very fresh medium red. Reasonably priced.

We had dinner for two, lovely friendly place but the food is average. Ordered beefsteak which was not good at all, sauce was fine but the meat was hard to chew. My wife had brujet, house specialty, and it was delicious.if you are not too demanding, ok place to eat.

We were accosted by a lady on the street, who was so endearing and seemingly excited by the menu that she was showing us, that we followed her into the restaurant. The waiter was very friendly, explaining the specials to us, so we ordered the local slow cooked beef, it was lovely, perfectly cooked, unlike alot of restaurants that we... More

Had a wonderful evening here. We were at first a little disappointed that the balcony was not overlooking the marina as we had hoped but this was quickly forgotten as our waiter, Teo, made us feel right at home and was very friendly and helpful. The fresh fish was delicious and the fish stew I had was wonderful with great... More
