Delicious food and great atmosphere

A delightful restaurant with rustic/wooden charm about it. It's dark inside but cosy and has a traditional feel. We had a delicious meat and cheese platter and the traditional croatian pasticada dish. I'd recommend both! The service was fantastic - friendly, quick and personable.

Found the place on Tripadvisor. Great service. Food was also very good. Traditional stuff - very nice appetizers and mains. Desert was not the best.

This konoba is known for it's traditional fare, and in this regard it excels. The restaurant is small and intimate, and feels like you're in your grandmothers kitchen. The dishes are simple and well prepared. A good choice to try traditional cooking, but don't expect anything to WOW you. PS the cake and cookie plate for dessert was super good... More

Short menu but well balanced and executed. Ideal to get a good idea of dalmatian food at a reasonable budget (considering prices in Hvar). Great chef secret and grilled fish filled, interesting home wine from their own vineyards, however cheese selection paste was not remarkable. Great service, very helpful. Around 180 kn/person

Lovely staff and delicious food. Great ambience. Good value too. Made for arguably our best meal out in Hvar (and we ate well)

We ate at this restaurant yesterday and are going back again today . This time we booked so as not to miss out. The food was excellent. We had the Chef's special which was the goat with Polenta. I love the flavour of goat but not many restaurants serve it. Goat's meat tends to be bony but this is what... More

Arrived with no reservation in the middle of a thunderstorm and were given a table by the very friendly staff because another booking hadn't showed. Did see some others turned away as it was busy though. Delicious food, local stuff which was a nice change to the usual pizza and pasta etc.

We travellled one month and this was one of our favorite meals. We took a day trip from Split to Hvar. Tavern Menego was recommended from a travel book. We arrived at the end of the lunch hour and Martin served us an amazing authentic Croatian meal. Great ambience too! If you plan to take a day trip from Split... More

Busy restaurant serving traditional and local food. Two of us shared the meat, veg and cheese platter which was quite substantial and very tasty. We then shared the roast veg, a pan fried fish and traditional gnocchi w beef steak. The house red was fine. Has a great ambiance and is decked out with various relics and antiques. Would go... Very friendly staff who fit us in at short notice. Lovely atmosphere. I had a 'chef's secret' which was goat with peas. I was disappointed with the amount of meat (lots of bones) but it was tasty. Other main course was lovely, prawn gnocchi. Wine was very reasonably priced and tasted fine.
