Super cheese plate, beautiful surroundings, attentive staff!

Really enjoyed wine and a sharing cheese platter for two. Delicious Rosemary bread, 4 different cheeses, a delicious dip and black and green olives... Delicious traditional Croatian fare. It is the owners home and he treats you as such, very warm and welcoming, don't miss the pastry plate at the end! Affordable and located easily off the main square up the path headed to the fortress.

Had a lovely evening here. Staff were charming. The table wine was decent. I'm veggie and was delighted to be able to try a few Dalmatian. The veggies cooked in white wine were excellent. Try the drunken figs too.

Ate dinner here in May 2015. Restaurant is super local -- only serves things made in Dalmatia. Nice room and very nice and super fluent waiter. Had a cured meat plate, chicken and beef entrees, and desert. Waiter kind of upsold us on a roasted vegetables side dish we didn't need - the portions were big. Everything was good.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. First of all, the staff were wonderful. So patient and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was perfect. A lot of vegetarian options that were well explained and the staff were knowledgeable on their ingredients (I have some food allergies). The location is great, in a romantic lane way away from the hustle... More

Brilliant little traditional restaurant with amazing fresh food. Gnocchi was fantastic waiters were helpful and friendly. Watch out for the traditional desert of sheeps cheese and honey, an acquired taste!!

One of the best meal in Croatia! It's a lovely decorated rustic cellar restaurant. Service is superb, with the waiter explaining the menu in detail and recommending their signature dishes. Their vegetarian dishes were amazing. We tried their cakes / patisserie. It's delicious and it's only 40kn for 4 types of cakes! Drunken fig are figs soaked in grappa for... More

Excellent vegetarian food in this little, hidden restaurant. You also have meat and fish but we opted for the traditional Croatian specialities. On top, very professional service.

We ate there last night, one of my best meals in Croatia. Excellent service from friendly and efficient staff. We loved the stone floors, stone walls, and the dried hams and bacons handing from the ceiling. We felt that we were truly eating typical Croatian food. Its a very small restaurant and this adds to its charm. Highly recommended

We ate there twice on our visit to Hvar and both times the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was very helpful and described the dishes perfectly. We ate in the upper terrace area and once we had a regular table but the second time we were sat at a low table which was a little... More
