After reading the great reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to try Maya Cafe for ourselves and we were not disappointed. We ate great indian food at a reasonable price. the staff were friendly and attentive. the menu had a range of western food but we were very happy with our choice. i would eat here again given the opportunity.

Cozy restaurant run by husband and wife team. Pretty limited menu but the food was superb and they were very accommodating to food allergy/ vegetarian issues.

I have been there only a couple of times, since I am from India, I didn't eat the Indian food! I had the pepperoni pizza and the awesome hamburger which in my opinion is inferior to none. The burger was one of the best I have eaten ever. The variety of beer they served are all good, my choice and... More

I stumbled upon this place while exploring Lijiang and stopped in for lunch. Their hamburgers will leave you full and satisfied. Relaxing location away from the tourist crowds. Looking forward to returning and trying their curry!

Food is good and flexible (spicy level). Host is very nice and helpful. Chicken curry is good with roti and the Indian milk tea too. Sweet ending with a slice of Oreo cheesecake. Soooo good.

Came for breakfast but had to wait a rather long time before the cook arrived and made our breakfast. Staff didn't seem to speak English. Only cook or manager.

We ate at Maya's often. It is the only place I felt like it was safe to have a salad. Everything I ate there was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Maya's.

Sailo and Maya run this beautiful outpost of India. Very simple but flavourful menu, lovingly prepared. Restaurants are tough to find in Lijiang, so call them or visit their website. Just follow the stream leading to the Black Dragon Pool, and keep a look out on the right, they are in the 2nd row of buildings.

Clean, restful location with extremely friendly owners. The home-cooked Indian food is not to be missed; each curry is authentic, tastes different and can be adjusted to taste, with accompanying rotis, puris and rice being equally as good. Western food is good too (especially the Oreo Cheesecake) and the coffee is excellent. We visited twice, bringing friends with us after... More

This is indeed a hard to find place tucked at a corner of the old Lijiang town. It is operated by an Indian couple. When a Malaysian expatriate in Lijiang brought us there, I was wondering, curries in China?', sounds strange. The interior of the restaurant is surprisingly cozy. Try the chicken masala and the masala tea. To my surprise,... More
