Great Fries & Food - Shame About The Decor

Had lunch here and they serve real home made French fries with the burgers. They were excellent - crisp and nicely browned. The burger was good as well. My son had the butter chicken and eats very spicy food. He asked for it extra hot - it sure was. Good food at reasonable prices. The decor is a... read more

I had breakfast one morning at the Maya Cafe in Lijiang and it was great! The Maya Cafe is located in a quieter corner of the Old Town, about a 3 or 4 minute walk from the big Water Wheels near the main entrance to the Old Town. There is a useful map on the Maya Cafe website that easily... More

We loved this cosy little place; amazing Indian food, lovely friendly family who run it. The only down side is that it's only open until 8pm which is a little bit of a shame. Would highly recommend :)

Not as great as advertised, rather bland Indian food made for Western palates. Nothing out of the ordinary. The place needs more ambience, rather sterile interior. Western food at a premium price too. Left not fully satisfied.

Authentic Indian Cuisine, you must have the Masala curry chicken (I had ate at least 4 times during my trip). And ya, they served nice coffee too! The 2 owners (from India) are very nice & friendly, speak both English and Mandarin.BTW, they close on Sundays and will be going for holiday, probably sometime in Feb, do check with them... More

Had to waiit long time, and then breakfast not so big, and a little too pricy for our family. Maybe lunch or dinner is better, but seems price quite high compared to other places.

I am currently living in Lijiang and Maya Cafe' has soon became one of my favorite spots in Lijiang. Nice for a late afternoon beer or even a warm cup of their great masala tea, the Cafe' also offers some delicious Indian food - try the butter chicken masala, soooo good! - and some unexpectedly good pizza and burgers. The... More

I already stayed 4 days in Lijiang and had tried several cafes for their coffee and cakes. Unfortunately, they were mediocre in standard and worse, pricey. Well, I should not expect good western drinks and desserts in this part of the world. On my last day in Lijiang, I was introduced to Maya Cafe after some walk in the old... More

Great hospitality by the owner & his wife. The curry was one of the best we've had. The laid back atmosphere was a nice escape from the cold streets.

This is an excellent spot on the edge of Lijiang Ancient Town. It has excellent simple, mostly Indian, food. Not too much choice, but what they have is very good, fresh, including garden salads. The Masala Tea was perfect, as were the coffees. The locale is average, and that is why I do not give it 5 dots.
