Maya Café is located in a peaceful area of the old town and is a great pit stop to/from Black Dragon Pool. We visited twice, and enjoyed the vegetable curry, chicken salad, margherita pizza, oreo cheesecake and masala chai. The servings are generous and service thoughtful - the owner checked on my preferences for spicyness (curry) and sweetness (tea), which... More

Set in the Old Town, this little eaterie is a real jewel! After a long day out, sitting in Maya Cafe was like being in your own lounge - cosy, comfy and very friendly! The food was just like home food and the service was great - nothing was a problem!! Highly recommended!

We saw the reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The best cup of coffee ( latte) I have had in China . I could actually taste the coffee. We ordered the cheese and tomato sandwiches -which were on three good sized and delicious buns . Also ordered the chicken sandwich -huge . Had such a good time... More

We went for a lunch and ordered the cheese tomato sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. We tought it was a bit expensive, but changed our minds when the food arrived. We got each 3 big buns, of the best bread we had in China, we are here now for one and a half month. The cheese was very good... More

I have to confess that I need to change my first review I did about Maya Café back in January 2014! And I think it`s all about leadership and the boss (owner) being around himself and most probably the wife did the cooking!?!? Different atmosphere, different set up and definitely far better quality of food. In the meantime I have... More

After reading the great reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to try Maya Cafe for ourselves and we were not disappointed. We ate great indian food at a reasonable price. the staff were friendly and attentive. the menu had a range of western food but we were very happy with our choice. i would eat here again given the opportunity.

Cozy restaurant run by husband and wife team. Pretty limited menu but the food was superb and they were very accommodating to food allergy/ vegetarian issues.

I have been there only a couple of times, since I am from India, I didn't eat the Indian food! I had the pepperoni pizza and the awesome hamburger which in my opinion is inferior to none. The burger was one of the best I have eaten ever. The variety of beer they served are all good, my choice and... More

I stumbled upon this place while exploring Lijiang and stopped in for lunch. Their hamburgers will leave you full and satisfied. Relaxing location away from the tourist crowds. Looking forward to returning and trying their curry!
