Worthy of it's first place!

Tripadvisor is right, this is the number one spot in Lijiang to eat!I'm so incredibly delighted Lijiang has a restaurant as good as this place. It made out trip even more enjoyable, and I'm sure it will to others in the near future. We have been living in China for over a year now and we missed our... read more

It was thanks to TripAdvisor that I found this place and I am very happy I did. If you read my review about the Old Town and the rip-off prices for tea, you'll understand why. It's a little awkward to find but basically if you follow the steam from the big water wheels away from the core of the Old... More

My family and I ate there as part of a 10 day trek through Yunnan province. My 10-year old had pizza at 5 different locations on our trip. (If there was pizza on the menu, he was getting it.) The pizza at Maya Cafe got his vote as best pizza in Yunnan. My wife and I both got the Butter... More

My husband and I live in Lijiang and Maya Cafe is definitely our favorite place to eat. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and a staff that goes above and beyond. As far as food recommendations, our favorites are the old fashioned burger and the pepperoni pizza. The Maya Cafe is the only place in Lijiang to find an American salad with... More

We read in trip advisor about the place and decided to check it out. I had the butter chicken masala which was great and my two vegetarian friends had the vegetable curry dish and another cheese dish which wasn't on the menu but was very good and recommended. The family who own the place are incredible nice people and apart... More

This place has incredible Indian food. Made by native indians living in china, I have yet to find a more authentic Indian restaurant. The Oreo cheesecake is also amazing.

Since coming from shopping in Lijiang Old town, I was exploring and came around this café. It is a little secluded, but the name is big enough to see from far. From all chinese shops, this one is neatly decorated with sofas, small library full of english books and they even have a fireplace downstairs. They serve one of the BEST... More

We used tripadvisor to get to this place as we didn't feel like eating Chinese again. Great atmosphere, the service was very attentive, even gave us a power extension to plug all our battery-dying mobile phones. Food is good, reasonably priced and the portions are ok (I cannot say the portion were huge as we were definitely hungry and had... More

We needed a little change from Chinese food and went here for a butter chicken masala with rice and roti - the food was unbelievable. So flavoursome and good size portion. The resteraunt had a really nice atmosphere, chilled music etc - pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of the old town and the noise on bar street. Definitely... More
