Solo traveler so only ordered one dish, mushroom stifry. Bland. Staff were quick to help and really fun. But i wouldn't go back as value was also not there.

The Amayi Naxi restaurant offers excellent local dishes (and a good English-language menu). We really enjoyed the chicken-mushroom-tofu hotpot and the rice in bamboo recommended by other reviewers.

Ordered the mushroom, chicken and tofu hot pot, delicious! Was told that no salt has been added into the soup and yet the soup is just as flavourful, no salt required. The chicken meat is tender and juicy and 3 types of mushrooms were being served. The hot pot was especially delicious when served on a cold evening. The portion... More

Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes but this was one of the worst places we visited in Lijiang. The mushroom dish was very tasteless, and the chicken soup with tofu looked nothing like the picture, and tasted bland and uninspired. We were very disappointed.

Not easy to find, but down an alley way between big and small stone bridge on Wu Yi street from the old town square. Nice staff and service, easy order from its menu, good atmopshere, and popular with locals and visitors. Enjoyed the rice in bamboo, the potatoes and the hotpot.

Good place to try local food from Lijiang. Try the bamboo stuffed with rice.

In the extremely commercialised Lijiang Old Town, we found dining in this local restaurant a refreshing experience; delicious Naxi dishes at reasonable prices, served by happy staff in an unassuming environment. We went back again the next day and found consistent culinary delight and welcoming hospitality. Not to be missed.
