It's small, it's crowded, and it's not surprising! If you're looking for the best in Italian in a tightly packed, friendly, attentive atmosphere with great food, then you can't do better than Amore!

In Birmingham for business looking for a nice place for dinner. We found Amore. We were greeted like family. The food was outstanding, from the meatball appetizer to the veal amore. Definitely adding Amore to our list of favorite restaurants.

Amore was recommended by a co worker for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We both had the veal and it was outstanding! And we finished with the bread pudding and it was outstanding too. We will return for sure.

Without question the most authentic Southern Italian food in Birmingham. Wonderful! Very small place hidden in a nondescript strip mall on 280. Owners are the greeter and server. Incredible food, great flavor a, plentiful portions and very reasonable prices.

We arrived to a very small, packed waiting area. The lady told us everyone in the waiting room had a 7:30 reservation and she didn't know when we would be seated. No apology offered. After a long day of traveling, it wasn't worth waiting.

I am very sorry that you left unhappy. I remember the night and there was no way to remedy the wait time. We are a place of 10 tables therefore are under the unfortunate position of occasionally having to wait for diners that are either sitting for a long time or were late for their reservation . Obviously we cannot... More

We went for our visit to Amore recently. The experience was wonderful. We were greeted by the hostess Angela who provided us with a great table along with pleasant discussion and recommendations. She said the crabcakes were 90% crab and I believe it was 95%! They were delicious. Following was warm soft homemade bread, along with a very fresh salad... More

We tried to go to so either italian spot in homewood, the line was to long so we checked tripadvisor and found amores on 280. It did not disappoint. Food service and atmosphere were all just right. I had the baked ziti, she had the penne chicken vodka. Both dishes were outstanding with very generous portions. Give Amores a try... More

This was where we spent all our special occasions and romantic dinners. Owner and Chef Lorenzo not only made sure your food was perfect but you felt like you entered Italy in the quiet ambience and soft music playing. Lorenzo was the face of the restaurant and always greeted you with open arms.Through the years we came to think of... More

I had never heard of Amore before my brother in law suggested we go! We made a reservation and they worked us in. It was definitely worth the wait! First of all the atmosphere is cozy and authentic Italian. The suggested wines were really good and we settled on a Banfi chianti. We had the shrimp scampi as an appetizer... More
