Great atmosphere and great food!

Little Savannah needs to be spoken In the same air as Highlands and Hot and Hot. Really cozy atmosphere that is great for couples and / or date night! The drinks are inventive and the food is too. I never have the same meal and it is always good. Great for business dinners also! I highly... read more

I wanted to rate Little Savannah a little better since it aims fairly high. Atmosphere is informal bistro. The bar pours good drinks but both drinks andn wine are overpriced. We were particularly disappointed with the service, mostly due with delays from the kitchen. After providing us with a second complementary appetizer to apologize for delay in delivering our entrees,... More

Had a work celebration dinner on 1/27/15. There was a set menu with course selections and me and my wife both chose the Black Hereford Filet and baked potato. It was magnificent! Before the main course also both selected the tomato soup. It was very think, rich and tasty. The restaurant is small and quaint but we had plenty of... More

I was in town for about 10 days before and after the holidays. A friend took me here on the Saturday before Christmas. He reservations for a date. She canceled. Good for me. Too bad for her. There are not a large number of menu choices. I'd check their web site to see the likely options. Each of us ended... More

Little Savannah's is what my boyfriend and I call "our restaurant." However, we continue to tell everyone that they must come here for an exquisite dining experience. The food goes without saying, but the service is what really makes this a five star restaurant. We usually have our typical server Mitchell, who we adore, but when we do have a... More

My brother-in-law took us to Lil' Savannah after he has made acquaintance with the owner. We were led to the chef's table. The owner, his wife, and the staff made us feel welcome but I noticed they treated all patrons very warmly. The food was expertly prepared and seasonly appropriate. My duck breast with root vegetables was very good. My... More

We were greeted warmly upon arrival. The place is comfortable, and not noisy as many places seem to be these days. The menu is relatively short, which is nice, because everything sounds yummy. We started with a specialty cocktail (Queen's Colony--gin, grapefruit juice, honey, basil, etc.) and a glass of Gruner Veltliner, then moved on to appetizers. Fried oysters were... More

As noted, Little Savannah is located within a small commercial area in one of Birmingham's traditional neighborhoods. The restaurant was near empty on a Thursday night. Dining alone, I ate at the bar. They have very good, traditional cocktails that range from $9 to $15 bucks. You are going to get a professionally concocted cocktail and a tall poor. My... More

We had planned to go to another restaurant nearby for my birthday, but decided to come here instead. We shared an awesome watermelon salad arugula salad with a blueberry balsamic with feta. It was most delicious! I chose shrimp and grits for my entree with sauteed mushrooms and bacon, while my husband chose smoked duck breast over blue grits with... More

Well worth the two mile drive from downtown to visit this small restaurant in a charming neighborhood. Great cocktails, including some house specialties, and a menu that was both imaginative and very well executed. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. An experience not to missed if you are in the Birmingham Alabama area.
