This is one of my favorite places to go when I am craving something to both fill me up and taste incredible! Personally I LOVE their baked potatoes! They are huge and so gooey and perfect! Another thing I love is their chicken fingers.. Very well cooked, whatever they coat them with is amazing and their seasoning on the fries... More

I always get the Turkey Melt or BBQ Chicken Baker, which is the largest loaded potato you've ever seen. It's so fantastic! Their fries are fantastic. Their honey mustard dipping sauce is great, and this is coming from a honey mustard Connoisseur. It's great sitting outside, if you can find a table. It's very small inside, so just expect close... Al's offer a nice menu for lunch and has some good gyros but not much has been done to keep up the seating or kitchen. Worth a visit but do not expect too much.

The food was hot and fresh. Not a bad place to eat at in the middle of the night. The place could be a little cleaner but I guess that might take away from the atmosphere.

I came for lunch after reading some good reviews. It was close and I was hungry. Had the tabouli salad and vegetable soup. Nothing very special. The pita bread was cold and chewy and the soup tasted kind of old. The salad was OK. With tip it was 18 dollars....I think this will be my only visit.

You've got to sit out on the patio and eat cheese fries with Ranch sauce before you can say you've experienced Birmingham like a native.

I've been enjoying the gyro at Al's for years and it's not because of the atmosphere or fantastic service... It's because of the great food. Always consistent quality, basic fare at reasonable prices. A must local gem!

I traveled into town, arrived to hotel late, but hungry. Waked to Al's and was suprized to see such a variety of options for an all night restaurant. Food was good servic quick, and I enjoyed eating out side in the evening.

Enjoyed being able to eat outside. January & 70 degrees, well thats Birmingham Al . Anyway, Al's cafe was busy & understandably so. They have a wide selection. Fair to pricey. Gyros, salads, etc . Will go back when I have more money, cause I saw several things on the menu that Id like to try.
