This is a great place to have a beer or have a great meal. The grouper Parmasen is awesome. The shrimp Alfredo is just pure heaven on a plate. Don't forget the twice baked potato because it is not the only thing done twice.... Most people who eat here agree they too will be back again.

Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy the dining room or sit at the bar where everybody knows your name! Steaks are excellent and twice baked potatoes are decadent and delicious.

After all day driving, we weren't able to deal with a hassled sit down meal. The staff of Ragtime changed everything! It was crowded at prime Friday night dinner hour, 7pm, but we were seated immediately, given a cozy booth, huge waters, great service. The staff manages to coordinate efforts for customer benefit, & it works! I loved the homemade... More

Had the vegetable quiche today, it came with pasta salad and fruit- incredible! Their burgers are huge, the fries (we get them often) are always done perfectly, the mozzarella sticks (more like logs!) are wonderful and their sandwiches can't be beat! I'm looking forward to trying one of their brick oven pizzas, soon. Their staff is easily the friendliest in... More

We visited on a Wednesday night around 7:30, and it was quite busy. We placed our order around 7:45, which consisted of four meals and an appetizer. It took about 20 minutes for us to even get our appetizers, which others around us got there's much more quickly. It was tasty, couldn't complain. Food took about another 25 minutes to... More

I can't remember the last time I had food that stayed hot on my plate throughout my entire meal! That's the way to dine. We chose Ragtime Cafe because my wife is a lover of ragtime. It was everything we expected except the music, there wasn't any! The restaurant doesn't live up to its name but it exceeds in every... More

Was in Hoover on business two weeks ago and tried this restaurant from locals suggestion. It was great and now I am back. Last night had their flank steak and baked potato. Delicious large portions. Did I mention their Martini was fabulous well portioned and reasonable! Don't judge the restaurant from the outside. Very modest surroundings but a great find.... More

We arrived with high expectations due to a couple of personal recommendations. We found the menu fairly standard (specials looked interesting, but the regular menu was pretty plain). The server did a good job, but the food was just not impressive. Spinach salad was pretty good; the vegetarian pizza was supposed to be hand-tossed, but that crust was way too... More

If you stop at Ragtime, I hope Cassie S is your server. She is wonderful!!! Baked oysters and blackened redfish were very good as were the shrimp. Very busy with local traffic which is always a good thing. Nothing fancy, just good!!
