Their service is usually pretty good, and I developed my favorite servers at each Jim-n-Nick's I have eaten. (I used to go to Jim-n-Nick's in both Alabama and Georgia on a regular basis, before my job changed and I rarely get to where there is one.) To those who have had problems with their service I'd say, you probably had... More

I stopped by for a late dinner while working in Birmingham. The bartender was extremely nice and had great service. She recommended certain items and drinks. I had the brisket, which was good. Nothing about this place really blew me away, but I was very pleased at the same time. They were closing after I arrived but I never felt... More

I got a $10 chicken sandwich. It was supposed to come with a side. I wanted a salad. It was supposed to cost $2 extra which is a ripoff. Instead of $2 he charged me $4.95 for a small salad! A Miller Lite was $4.95! No sauce on the table except extra hot habanaro. When we FINALLY got some other... More

I've been to this restaurant repeatedly on visits to Birmingham and always was very satisfied with the food. This time I had just a salad, but it was excellent. The barbecued meat I had on earlier occasions was also first rate. However, the waiting time was quite long and the service, at least on this occasion, was inept. Others in... More

The ribs were tender and falling off the bone, homemade sweet tea, and great service. There's a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of southern hospitality,

Barbecue was some of the best I have had. Visited on "taco night" and while we didn't try the barbecue tacos we did have queso with sausage which was excellent. Service was great and wide selection on the menu.

The memphis style pulled pork sandwich and baby back ribs were both as good as the waiter promised. We were at the original location and loved the atmosphere. We meet my daughters friends here and the group of 8 all enjoyed their meals. Not a great choice for a group of vegetarians, but carnivores are sure to leave happy.

Had lunch here and it was delicious! Good beers on tap and a full bar. Good BBQ Ribs and fired catfish. What made this place different was our server, Maxwell! he was awesome. Attentive enough but not bothersome. Great knowledge of the food and beers. He was great!

Being a southerner, it's hard to fess up to what constitutes the best barbecue I've ever had. Is this the best? The chicken was excellent, and the ribs and pulled pork were very good. The BBA sauce is a bit peppery for my tastes, but some folks do love that. The link is definitely worth the dalliance, especially with the... More
