We were sincerely welcomed and seated promptly. We had nachos for an appetizer. Yummy!! The ribs were also excellent. There's a great vibe in the restaurant. It was filled with lots of college age people. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our server was very personable and very attentive. We stop in Birmingham regularly on our way from here to... We had out-of-town guests who wanted barbecue so we suggested Jim n' Nicks. We frequent the Alabaster location but at the time we were in the vicinity of 5 Points and decided to try that location. We were seated by the host last Friday (11/28) at approximately 2:00 pm. After waiting about 10 minutes, we asked a nearby waiter to... More

Wanted to pick up something to eat on the way home to Albany, NY. Went for riblets with cheese biscuits (which turned out to be muffins in our Yankee vocabulary). Ribs were nice & meaty, and even after an hour+ flight (seatmates threatened me if I ate it in front (or beside) them), it was still warm! Spicy rub (but... More

I love Jim N' Nick's no matter what location I am at. The pig in the potato patch is always good and their chicken fingers with the house made honey mustard are excellent!

The pulled pork had. A sweet taste to it but otherwise excellent. I had mashed taters, baked beans, and cheese biscuits that were also excellent. Will go to again when I return.

Service was great, corn muffins great, my friends food looked okay, and then comes my food-disaster. It was interesting because my two friends food came first and I had to wait for mine. Was he back there making something special for me? Was he back there making a terrible sandwich for one of the pickiest eaters who barely even eats... More

food was so so. service was terrible. on a quiet friday evening, we were dismayed to have been treated in such a cavalier manner by a young waiter who seemed to want us gone more than he wanted to make the effort to be kind. i don't think there were more than 6 parties in the whole place while we... I was at this place long time ago.. Maybe 2 years ago. This time I had pulled pork and a beer. Was good. Being honest I had others better, but this is fine and tasty. Probably I should try the brisket.. Will do next time. I was alone and seat at the bar. The guy was friendly.. Walked from Residence... More
