I can't say anything about the restaurant's service or atmosphere, but the food we were served at the IM resident lunch was great. The pickles had a freshly brined flavor, pork was tender and moist, the sauces available were tasty, and the coleslaw wasn't overly dressed. I even packed a "to go" cup of sorts for the drive back to... More

While carousing downtown, some friends and I landed at Jim'n'Nick's. The uniquely built restaurant makes for great atmo. Seated comfortably in a booth by the bar, we chatted amongst ourselves and with an appropriately gruff waiter. I say that because we all had a lot of fun with it. I ordered a mushroom and swiss burger with fries and a... More

They served us cold biscuits, cold pork, cold chicken. Salads came after meal, and the fish was requested to be grilled and came out fried. Very disappointed from one of my favorite places to eat.

This was the third time I ate at Jim N Nicks. I have never been overwhelmed by their food or their value, but this time, they just sucked. I ordered a BBQ stuffed potato, now any other BBQ joint in town will give you a MONSTER potato, but not Jim N Nicks, this one was a small baker, about the... More

I didn't know this was a chain restaurant until the last minute with a group of people. The sweet tea was good but the BBQ sandwiches are okay.

We ended up at Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q as Saw's BBQ is closed on Sundays. The food was fine but nothing great. It's a basic BBQ chain that offers basic BBQ fare. Disliked the BBQ sauce but the meat was not flavorful enough without it. Not a restaurant I'll likely be visiting again.

In Birmingham, this is some of the best BBQ you'll ever eat. Great menu selection with multiple portion sizes. Great atmosphere is old factory building. Service is quick and pleasant. Often have business luncheon meetings here. Highly recommend!!

Toured the options - just to make sure nothing looked better. It didn't. Was seated promptly, and waitress came to table promptly. It was late Sunday afternoon - after a busy weekend, I guess, because they were out of lime (for gin & tonic) and out of Margarita mix. And coconut cream pie. I suppose some would be aggravated and... More

The food was great. I had the brisket and ribs. The ribs were decent and on par with most BBQ joints. The Brisket was the best i've ever had. Our server was a bit of a weirdo and ended up insulting one of the members of our party. The neighborhood is awesome and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great.... More
