I was with a large group visiting B'ham and this was a "must eat" place from a local that one of our party knew. Unique atmosphere in what seemed to be a neighborhood setting. We had to park quite a distance from the restaurant and walk, but it wasn't too bad. Stood in line to order at the register, then... More

I was driving through Bham for work with 2 friends (associates) and went here on the recommendation of one of the people with me. It was a great recommendation!!! It is very casual and quick and fresh. there is a full bar with several Margarita's specialties. I had the Paella with shrimp and it was REALLY GOOD!!! It came out... More

Good beer...great location...happy dogs...decent food. Good place to end the day/start the weekend. Sit outside and people watch. No barhops so it's kind of self-serve (they will bring your meal out to you but you have to go in to order/refill your beverage).

It's definitely not a typical restaurant...you order from the front, they give you a number, and you seat yourself. Food was pretty good, and was fresh and hot at arrival. Parking is def and issue in the area, but I'd say it's worth it.

Driving through Alabama, we settled on Rojo for lunch because it was dog friendly and had pretty good reviews. While it is tucked away in a neighborhood, our GPS had no problem finding it. It's a different type of restaurant, not at all what we expected. You seat yourself, and we were able to find a table on the patio... More

Rojo is an unusual place. to say the least. It features both American and Mexican fare on the menu. I have never been disappointed in any choice I made. There are many great draft beer choices as well. The outdoor dining is great in the more temperate months of the year. Take a stroll down Highland Ave. after your meal... More

Went here for my birthday dinner. I highly recommend their Paella, which is perfectly spiced (note the portion was huge) and the sangria. They have a really well heated patio during the cold months as well.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love having a margarita out on the patio that overlooks the park. They cover it in winter so you can eat there year round. They have two sides to the menu--American and Tex Mex. I love both sides. (Though the nachos and meditteranean quesadilla are my favs) You'll find a... More

Some friends and I were traveling through Alabama and stopped here to eat some Latin food. I have to say this is now one of my favorite restaurants and plan to come back next time I get a chance! The food was very well prepared, the staff was helpful in accommodating first time visitors, and the atmosphere was informal but... More

We visited Rojo on a whim as we like to try places off the beaten path. It is a joint that serves a nice mix of food. Our party included 4 adults and 4 teenage boys. Though we had a variety of tastes, all palates were satisfied. The place is a joint in that you walk up to the counter;... More
