Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.

A wonderful evening with friends

For my wife's birthday, we, along with our closest friends, went to Shula's for dinner. We had a reservation but it likely would not have mattered. Our wait staff attended to our needs expediently. I had the cowboy ribeye and my wife had a filet. Both steaks were perfect and the side dishes (twice... read more

Very poor service. Waiter had attitude and acted like he did not want to be there. We all (4) agreed the steaks were not just substandard, but terrible. This was a total rip off.

Worst service ever! Waited 20 minutes between drinks and 30 for the final bill! Complained to the GM who did nothing! Go somewhere else! Steaks were tasteless!

I usually sit at the bar when I'm in town and just order a wedge salad and the tenderloin tips off the appetizer menu for dinner with a glass of wine. When I have clients visiting, I love the main seating area. Service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Highly recommend for business dinners.

The food was fantastic. I ordered the Mixed Grill on the recommendation of the waiter, which provided two filet medallions and a choice of two seafood items: crab cake, market fish (salmon was being offered), BBQ Shrimp or Seared Scallops. I ordered the crab cake and scallops. The entire dish was amazingly tasty. In addition they had a great wine... More

We actually had Shula's cater an event for us that blew our customers away. Steak, lobster, lamb chops, salads, desserts and more, all at an outdoor venue. Their food and service was some of the best I've seen. Amazing!

We were a group of 13 and in a private room. Service was slow and staff rarely checked on the group. Appetizers were average at best. Steaks were OK, but not great. Prime rib ordered rare came out we'll done. Separate checks for food and liquor. Overall a huge disappointment contrasted with outstanding service and food at other restaurants on... More

Have eaten there twice and great both times. Got the filet once and the biggest star they had another time both cooked good and tastes great. I always got french fries for my sides but my wife got the lobster macaroni and cheese once and it was greasy and not worth the extra money. Crab cakes and shrimp are good.... More

Decided to give it another try against our better judgement. Service was decent, after the waitress took our order it took what seemed like a life time to get the food. She kept coming back to our table saying it will only be a few minutes. Bad when the waitress knows it's been to long. When she finally brought it... More

My husband and and I were at a business affair at Shula's Steak House, in one of their private rooms. We had a very good Caesar Salad and Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus. The steak was cooked absolutely perfect!!! And for dessert, a HUGE slice of Chocolate Cake - yummy!
