Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.

Was good both times

Have eaten there twice and great both times. Got the filet once and the biggest star they had another time both cooked good and tastes great. Decided to give it another try against our better judgement. Service was decent, after the waitress took our order it took what seemed like a life time to get the food. She kept coming back to our table saying it will only be a few minutes. Bad when the waitress knows it's been to long. When she finally brought it... More

My husband and and I were at a business affair at Shula's Steak House, in one of their private rooms. We had a very good Caesar Salad and Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus. The steak was cooked absolutely perfect!!! And for dessert, a HUGE slice of Chocolate Cake - yummy!

We were fortunate to get a last minute reservation when we arrived at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Galleria in Birmingham. We both had the filet, a salad, and shared a baked potato. All sides are ala carte and large enough to share. The filet AND the potato were the best we've had. The salads were good, but nothing... More

Overall very pleased with our evening, our server Michael was outstanding! Cocktails were very good, they have two different by the glass wine lists, the "coaches" list was very impressive, had a fantastic Turley zin!! My girlfriend had the mixed grill with filet medallions, scallops, and a crab cake, it was very good, crab cake was excellent! I chose the... More

Typically, I try and avoid the chain high-end steak houses (Fleming's, Morton's, Shula's) as the steaks are always good, but rarely extrordinary. However, it was late, raining and since Shula's was in the Hyatt Winfrey where I was staying, it was the default. My late dinner at the bar was excellent. I had the 8oz. Filet, cooked perfectly, tender and... More

The lobster bisque soup set the stage for an evening that included their jumbo crabcakes which were Shula Supreme....meaning the best! Service was also superior.

We've all heard the saying if s restaurant or store has high prices, then they are very proud of what they are selling. Schula's is no exception. Nestled in the Hyatt hotel at the Riverchase Galleria mall, Schula's offers a hearty flame kissed steak selection along with tasty salads & sides. Do not be surprised to shell out over $120... More

My husband entertains customers here on an annual basis each December. My steak and baked potato was good, but there were problems with other items. The appetizer (a variety including bbq shrimp, steak, crab cake and lobster) was so so. I ordered the chopped salad on the recommendation of the waiter and all I could taste was the balsamic dressing.... More

I had dinner on Wednesday evening and found the experience disappointing. Very friendly greeting upon entering the restaurant. Ordered my cocktail and it was delivered with a rather large gnat floating in the middle of the glass. I called it to the attention of the server and he stated he would get a fresh one made quickly. Cocktails were what... More
