Description: Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. We had lunch at the bar. I had a Cobb salad which was wonderful! My husband had a cheese burger which was wonderful too. The Bloody Mary at Shula's is very good. They use celery bitters that just adds a special something to the drink. Ask for the celery bitters because we did find out that not all the bar... More

A friend and I dined here on June 4, 2014 and the service was a complete disaster. This was the worst service I ever experienced in a fine dining restaurant in my life and it was very obvious there was a lack of serving staff and management. We were greeted by our server Dallas who took our drink order. It... More

The darling bartender was exceptionally helpful not just with the food and drinks but with driving directions.

I brought my client here for a nice dinner after a day of air travel. This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel was decorated nicely, but I was a bit surprised about the dimly lit room. We had a trio of great servers, led by Lionel. We started with a wedge salad and creamed spinach and... More

The steaks here are the best that can be found anywhere. It may be a restaurant name that is seen in several larger cities, but it is one that means excellence in preparation and quality. This one is no different. The Cowboy steak is flavorful and must not be missed. The ambiance, wine list, and drinks are well thought out... More

Decided to eat here after passing it by several times. Must say I have had a lot better steaks. I was quite surprised it wasn't any better than what it was.service wasnt good, had to stop other waiters to help us. We had to ask for bread. Like I said the steak, which was a filet, was terrible.

When we have a craving for great steak, we head to Shula's Steak House. Big portions on the beef and sides. Our favorite steak is the bone in filet mignon, and enjoy the grilled asparagus and wedge salad. We usually over indulge in the sour dough bread. The wine list is fun and extensive. On our last trip we met... More

Went to Shula's for a lunch while attending a conference, service was good and the food quality was okay. Portions were small and their balsamic vinaigrette had what appeared to be Cheyenne pepper floating on top which set my mouth on fire. Otherwise a good lunch.

I walked in to the bar area on a Wednesday night. It was completely empty. I now know why. Asked the bar tender why it was so empty - he respond - what do you want to drink. I asked if rebranding of hotel had affected them. "no". Asked for two beers and two menus. Got two beers. Asked for... More
