Description: Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.

My husband entertains customers here on an annual basis each December. My steak and baked potato was good, but there were problems with other items. The appetizer (a variety including bbq shrimp, steak, crab cake and lobster) was so so. I ordered the chopped salad on the recommendation of the waiter and all I could taste was the balsamic dressing.... More

I had dinner on Wednesday evening and found the experience disappointing. Very friendly greeting upon entering the restaurant. Ordered my cocktail and it was delivered with a rather large gnat floating in the middle of the glass. I called it to the attention of the server and he stated he would get a fresh one made quickly. Cocktails were what... More

Business dinner and the food was very good. Family appetizers, so be prepared to share. 1lb baked potatoes. Part of the menu is on a footbal, nice touch. I don't drink wine, but they had many to choose from if you are looking for a nice wine. They had a good selection of beers. Two waiters took care of us... More

This restaurant is one of our favorites for our "date" nights. Yes, after nearly 28 years of happy marriage we still enjoy going out on a date together. Good food and a great date!

I had never been to a Shula's steakhouse and decided to give and I was impressed. Their beef is flavorful and they have all kinds of cuts of beef depending on your appetite. I got their surf and turf and my lobster tail was cooked perfectly with fresh lemon and a butter sauce. My filet was super tender and quite... More

I've eaten here before so I sort of knew what to expect. In the past the food has been good and the service was always excellent. This time I thought the food was excellent but the service was terrible. Everything was just very slow, from my cocktail to dessert. If they ever get their act together this could be a... More

Loved my waiter! Loved the homemade bread. Loved the steak, but too pricey. The $7 baked potato was warm and seemed to have been baked hours prior.

For my wife's birthday I took her to Shula's. She had never been and I wanted her birthday to be special. Our waiter, Lionel, was funny and friendly and took care of our every need. Our food was absolutely delicious. The cowboy ribeye was delicious. I highly recommend the tomato and mozzarella chop salad. The grilled asparagus was quite good... More

We had lunch at the bar. I had a Cobb salad which was wonderful! My husband had a cheese burger which was wonderful too. The Bloody Mary at Shula's is very good. They use celery bitters that just adds a special something to the drink. Ask for the celery bitters because we did find out that not all the bar... More

A friend and I dined here on June 4, 2014 and the service was a complete disaster. This was the worst service I ever experienced in a fine dining restaurant in my life and it was very obvious there was a lack of serving staff and management. We were greeted by our server Dallas who took our drink order. It... More
