A friend recommended this restaurant and we decided to grab lunch. Turned out to be a wonderful choice. A very casual atmosphere with an open fresh fish market in the back. We ordered soups to start our meals off. My wife had the clam chowder which was fantastic. I ordered the gumbo with chicken, sausage, and shrimp and it hit the... More

After years and years of consistently good seafood and great service, we had the worst meal imaginable. We ordered crab claws for appetizer and waited, and waited, and waited. Went to the window and asked and were told they would be right out. Then the chef appeared at our table and told us they were OUT OF CRAB CLAWS. this... More

First timers at Fish Market on Saturday 8.16.14 for lunch. I ordered the crab cakes and the were fresh, excellent. Service staff -- Joey -- was great. Reasonably priced for fresh fish. Broccoli was a tad limp.

A favorite local restaurant for a casual meal. We enjoy taking guests to Fish Market. The food is consistently good and the price is very reasonable. Its a little noisy and the setting is very casual, but we like it. My favorite dish is the Jambalaya. On our last visit we had guests from Ireland and the owner, George, came... More

We were looking for something close to our hotel (Residence Inn UAB) and this fit the bill. We didn't realize until we got there there was a mix of casual/nice to the place. I didn't notice any other children, but we brought our 6yo daughter with us. It was fine. My husband raved about his meal. He absolutely loved the... More

The place will give you a great taste of the coast. If you want to have good seafood, this is the place. The logistics of the place are weird though.

Very good fresh seafood; although gulf oysters are flavorless. Chowder, and main courses (cioppino and sampler) were delicious. Large portions, too. Lots of sides to choose from, but fried okra was all breading no okra, collards were just OK. Very reasonable prices with a large and varied menu and a Gulf flare. Service was friendly and helpful. Had a 3-man... More

I have been coming to this place for over 20 yrs. until I today July 26, 2014. After leaving Joe's Crabshack across town, from a wonderful meal for myself and which was much closer to my house, to place a to go order for my son which consisted of Grilled Salmon, fried okra and french fries. Walked in and saw a line in this huge, warehouse space. I was starving so I didn't want to wait for a table. When I asked the host up front, he said to go over to the counter and talk to cashier Valerie. She said, instead of waiting for a table, to place our order with her and go sit... More

Dinner with oyster-craving friends brought us here. We sat in the 'big room' where you first enter in & you get waited on. Live music on a Wednesday evening added a lively, even romantic feel to the place. The oysters were excellent, absolutely fresh! They always have a good selection of fresh oysters but I love to revisit Apalachicola. And... More
