Used to be you had to go to Tuscaloosa to get Dreamland BBQ, but thank goodness, they expanded so they are easier to get to. I ALWAYS stop here if I have a chance. Man, the best BBQ ever!!!

This place is awesome! Cute interior setting, very warm and welcoming. The ribs were the best I'd had in a long time, we also ordered a pulled pork sandwich which too was awesome! Highly recommended as a must try when visiting Alabama.
Awesome old joint.. Fantastic ribs cooked on huge old grills where everyone can watch. Everything served on paper plates, lots of napkins. There was great service and the food was great. Only draw back for me was they don't serve the baby back ribs and those are my favorite. I would still go back.
My girlfriend & I stopped for a Saturday lunch @ Dreamland on a recent day trip to Birmingham. As a native son of the South & Q afficionado, best ribs I've had in several years! Simply the best ribs and sauce anywhere around. Dreamland BBQ began in a little shack in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They only had ribs, sauce and bread and it was sublime. The ribs are ok, but the pork sandwich is the best thing on the menu besides the banana pudding. Make sure to save room for dessert.
The Bham location is great, but if you can make it to the original, the atmosphere is what starts you off, a hole in the wall place. But the ribs are the BEST you will EVER eat. Period
Toughh ribs, horrible beans, and stale sandwich bread. All for an outrageous price. No thanks. We did not even discuss going back. Just looking forward to dinner at onbe of the many good BBQ places in Alabama.
This is a second restaurant for Dreamland. The original is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The ribs are awesome and just as tasty as at the original restaurant but the atmosphere is not quite the same. Regardless, not to be missed if you can't get to Tuscaloosa.
The BBQ being great is a given. Along with this is the many choices in delicious side items. The secret gem is the banana pudding! Best in the state.
