From the atmosphere as you first walk in to appetizers, drinks, entrees and the staff.. Everything was wonderful. Food was outstanding! Staff was great! Will definitely be going back! Chef Hasting has a great thing going on here!

Fun food, fun people. Take a seat at the kitchen bar and watch all the fun being made while enjoying one of the best meals in the south.

James Beard Award winning Chef Chris Hastings didn't let us down. Our party of six had a terrific dinner with an assortment of delightful dishes. The waiter was pleasant and efficient, and owner and chef Chris visited the table twice. If you are in Birmingham, don't miss this restaurant for a special night out.

If you like snooty people and snooty wait staff, and waiting, and paying a lot for average food....go here. The chef is supposed to be top notch and he even won on Iron Chef, but who is putting out the food when he's not touching it? I can see where teh menu and dishes are trendy, but I didn't get... We visited this lovely restaurant as out of town guest, party of 4 for my spouses birthday. We read many of the reviews with some members making note that the portions were small. The food was indeed good, but we all noted how small the portions were, considering the acclaim that this restaurant has received and the price point. The... More

This place was rockin in Birmingham. Food was even better. Ordered the scallops and they melted in your mouth. The boudin balls were also very good. Service was very good.

Wonderful experience last night. We took a Ph.D. recruit here, and even being from a foodie town like Boston, she loved it! The chef came out to visit with us, and he was very charming! Highly recommend this place - you would never guess you were in Birmingham!

Birmingham has lots of great non-chain restaurants, and Hot & Hot stands toe to toe with the best. You can count on a creative menu, fresh fish, and unique atmosphere. More than likely the owner and Executive Chef, Chris Hastings will stop and chat with you. It feels personal here. Sitting at the bar top watching the kitchen is the... More

Without a doubt, one of the best meals I have ever had. Chris Hastings is a genius when it comes to food. My wife and I dined there on our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The staff is very knowledgeable about their food without being too pushy. We tried a number of different things that my wife had never... More
