Read all the reviews, so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. The service was wonderful. The waiter described all the dishes for us. The way he talked about each dish, it sounded like the chef took hours in making each dish special. With all the excitement and great expectations, I ordered the duck and my girlfriend... More

Hot and Hot is my favorite Birmingham restaurant. It is one of the top restaurants in Birmingham. It is not stuffy, but a fun place with excellent food. Hot and Hot always has new, exciting dishes with friendly, attentive staff. Everything on the menu is excellent. My favorite item is on the menu in the summer and it is an... More

Always one of my favorite spots for an outstanding meal in an environment that is comfortable for either a casual or an elegant event. The open kitchen generates a high energy environment with lots of delightful aromas and an interesting visual experience. Although especially known for its outstanding, fresh fish dishes, I chose leg of lamb, garnished with broiled potatoes... More

Chef Chris Hastings has created one of the finest restaurants in Birmingham with one of the most unlikely names. A stranger to Birmingham might expect fried catfish and hushpuppies from a name like Hot and Hot, but this white tablecloth restaurant has challenged Chef Frank Stint’s Highlands, Chez Fon Fon, and Botegga’s as the top upscale eatery in the city.... My husband and I ate here with friends while visiting Birmingham from the Columbus, GA area. At the Hot & Hot Fish Club, we were reminded what an amazing experience it can be to dine at a top-notch restaurant. Our waiter was absolutely impeccable in every way, and the food was incredible.

This is our favorite place to eat in B-ham. We always sit at the kitchen bar to watch the culinary creativeness firsthand. The fish is always fresh and the local veggies outstanding. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Delicious!

We visited for a friend's birthday dinner and after enjoying ourselves for 3 hours, we decided it was finally time to leave. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and the drinks were even better. They have a Donnie Draper drink that is a wonderful rendition of an Old Fashion with sassafras and you have to try it.

I wasn't terribly hungry, but since I was in Birmingham on business, I had to go to H&H. I got the Beef Tamale which was delectable. I got The Mercenary for my drink which was tequila and a fanta reduction. Don't grimace, it was delicious. I absolutely had to get the souffle for dessert. I wasn't disappointed. The host, hostesses,... More

We took a business client to eat. We all tried various appetizers and entrees. Chris Hastings stopped by the table to welcome our out of town guest to the restaurant and to invite him to return sometime with his family. The food was excellently prepared and presented. On top of that it all tasted wonderful and there were nothing but... More
