We stopped for a late lunch at Bottega on a warm afternoon. We had to wait close to an hour (graduation weekend!), but it was well worth it. The food was fabulous: creative, innovative, and just downright delicious. My husband and I had the house salad, which was perfectly fresh and generous enough for two, followed by the fried oyster... Great food, very fresh. Everything on the menu is great and the service is spectacular. There is not much bad to say about this restaurant--make sure you make reservations in advance!

We eat there, either in the dining room or cafe, on a regular basis. Once a week at the cafe and at east once a month in the dining room. We love the food, services, and atmosphere. We know most of the staff: hosts, wait staff, and cooks. They know us by name. They remember what we order for drinks... More

We enjoyed our dinner. Food is excellent, service is pretty good. The restaurant is very loud - combined with the closeness of the tables it is difficult to have a conversation. It is also most difficult to ignore happenings at the tables around you - especially when they're receiving free drinks from the bar.

I ate at this property for lunch today. I had the roasted pork loin (a signature dish), chardonnay (Stags Leap) and tiramisu. The food was still outstanding, and service was attentive. I will eat there again. The cliente is the affluent business person, as the tab was $60.00.

Frank Stitt has been rated by many publications as one of the best chefs in America and many times the top chef in the South. His 2 cookbooks should be staples for any serious cook. His 2 cornerstone restaurants in Birmingham - Highlands bar and grill, and Bottega - are a showplace and will not disappoint. I get to Birmingham... More

From the excellent valet service on the driveway to being escorted to our table by the maître d, all references to the wait staff were excellent. Our waiter appeared like magic every time we needed him. The staff tuned their response to our expectations, and executed it perfectly. Some customers might wish to linger for 2-3 hours, and others like... More

In Birmingham for work, I was told Bottega was a great place to try. I started with the Parmesean souffle, which was so fantastic that I could have had two. They have it on the menu all the time and I will definitely have it again the next time I go. The pasta main I had was a bit on... More
