We were traveling from Florida to Missouri and wanted to try something different for lunch. It took us about 20 mins off the path BUT it was totally worth it!!! We ordered the Family Meal #3 to feed our family of 6....it included a Full Slab of ribs, 1 lb of meat, 2 sides and 4 buns. This was more... More

Went here with my wife on a date last night. We both had the classic Pork and Greens, and will be back! It's a perfect dish: cheese grits, turnip greens, BBQ pork, and topped with fried onion rings. Washed down with a cold Avondale battlefield IPA, the combination can't be beat!

Nothing about this place says, "Come and eat here." But despite the look of the building and the out of the way location, the food was good. I had the pork and greens platter (bbq pork, onion rings, collard greens, and grits all piled together on a plate. Enjoyed all of it, but I think it might have been better... More

I am from CT, but if I lived in AL I could honestly eat here every day. I'd be 400 pounds in about a month, but it would be worth it. The food is simply awesome. The pulled pork is heaven And the wings are the best on the planet. Go eat here. Go now.

Just finished up a meal from Saw's, and it was divine. I had the Pork & Greens special - BBQ pork, cheese grits, turnip greens, fried onion strings, and sauce! And I got a side of deviled eggs for good measure. The meat was tender, yet surprisingly lean. It was covered in BBQ sauce and layered on top of the... More

Don't get why this was rated so high. Meal was mediocre at best. THe reviews on trip advisor were not on track. Service was also fair.

Drive far out of your way through terrain that sometimes resembles the wrong side of the tracks? You bet. Wait in line 15 minutes just to place your order? No question. Wait another 20 minutes before your order is delivered to an outside picnic table shared with the multitudes? Absolutely. It is ALL worth it. This place is the quintessential... More

Don't let the outside fool you. An amazing busy place with the best soul food. The pork and greens was a wonderful compilation of cheese grits topped with tangy greens pulled pork and onion rings. Don't be scared by the neighborhood (railroad area) or building ( somewhat dilapidated looking) or the styrofoam plates and plastic silverware. The food is so... More

My husband convinced me to come eat here....I was a little skeptical as I had driven by several times. We were later in the evening and they were out of my first 2 choices (pork and shrimp). Was annoyed since it is a BBQ place and that is what I came for after waiting in line for 15 minutes. I... More

After reading about Saws BBQ we decided to deviate from our favorite BBQ spots and try them and are we glad we did! If you enjoy tangy and spicy then Saws is your place. Not your typical BBQ restaurant (no fries) but the menu has lots to choose from and the serving size is MORE than enough to satisfy the... More
