This is what it is like to eat in a episode Seinfeld, I can see Jerry, Cramer, George and Elaine having fun and food at Saw's. Food was very good and we ate a table between Saw's and Postal Pies while listening to a band play over by Avondale Brewery.

Wow. This place lives up to its reviews! So glad I came here. I got the pulled pork bbq sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Melt in your mouth meat, so full of flavor. Perfect tomatoes. My 8 year old got the burger and sweet Potatoe fries. She loved them both. She wanted my pork too! Too bad this place isn't... More

Food served on Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils, but it still looks like something you would get from a $40 a plate restaurant. My wife and I stopped off here on the high rating on Trip Advisor, never would have made it to this part of town without it. As we found out from a stranger in line this is... More

The food at this hole in the wall is really beyond description. The line out the door is probably the best indicator that you are in for a treat. A sole person at a counter takes your order; the process takes time. Once you have placed your order you have to hope for one of the few tables available inside... More

We were traveling from Florida to Missouri and wanted to try something different for lunch. It took us about 20 mins off the path BUT it was totally worth it!!! We ordered the Family Meal #3 to feed our family of 6....it included a Full Slab of ribs, 1 lb of meat, 2 sides and 4 buns. This was more... More

Went here with my wife on a date last night. We both had the classic Pork and Greens, and will be back! It's a perfect dish: cheese grits, turnip greens, BBQ pork, and topped with fried onion rings. Washed down with a cold Avondale battlefield IPA, the combination can't be beat!

Nothing about this place says, "Come and eat here." But despite the look of the building and the out of the way location, the food was good. I had the pork and greens platter (bbq pork, onion rings, collard greens, and grits all piled together on a plate. Enjoyed all of it, but I think it might have been better... More

I am from CT, but if I lived in AL I could honestly eat here every day. I'd be 400 pounds in about a month, but it would be worth it. The food is simply awesome. The pulled pork is heaven And the wings are the best on the planet. Go eat here. Go now.

Just finished up a meal from Saw's, and it was divine. I had the Pork & Greens special - BBQ pork, cheese grits, turnip greens, fried onion strings, and sauce! And I got a side of deviled eggs for good measure. The meat was tender, yet surprisingly lean. It was covered in BBQ sauce and layered on top of the... More

Don't get why this was rated so high. Meal was mediocre at best. THe reviews on trip advisor were not on track. Service was also fair.
