As good as it gets

You either get it or you don't. I, with many others have watched Saw's become a juggernaut of Q since they first opened in Homewood. I have been to all 3 locations and love them all. I am so happy that I found this place. Small place that I would never had noticed. There was a large crowd outside and was packed inside. The food was amazing. I only had the chance to eat there once. If I ever get back to Birmingham, I will be visiting again!

A dive by any valid description, with concrete floors, steel tables, mixed chairs, loud talk, TVs blaring, funky walls, but really, really, good and sometimes fancy foods. A skilled for real chef serving BBQ, great burgers, crab claws, crawfish, fresh fish, stuffed potatoes and local beers, and other bar drinks. Always busy but always worth the wait.

Great hole in the walk joint. Close quarter, quick wipe down style table cleaning, and loud. The place was packed and the flavor is the reason. Sweet tea is truly southern and SWEET! Brewery at end of street has Saws mobile unit and large enclosed area for kids to run, tables to enjoy food, live music, and BEER!

Everything is good. Tried the Chicken and greens and the Sweet Tea chicken sandwich. Not much seating but get it to go and eat next door at Avondale Brewery.

This place always has great loaded potatoes. Delicious pulled pork and great portions with it's own home made sauce.

This is a tiny restaurant, but the staff was friendly and the food was great. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, a hamburger, fried okra, and fries. Everything was amazing, but you should definitely order some okra while you're there. Also, just as a side note, they've got great ice.

I had the pork and greens. It was so good. The menu mentioned all of the things that were a part of the meal but didn't mention that it would come all piled on top of each other and it was magnificent. The other stuff looked good, too. It's a small place that looks like it fills up fast. There... More

Just a small gem in the heart of BHM that delivers big on flavor. The pork and greens are wonderful! Full of flavor, ample servings. The Carolina Dog is delicious, everything we have tried is great!Go hungry! They also have a food truck STOP if you see it!

Every dish has a unique twist but still maintains its traditional core tastes. Best BBQ in Birmingham!
