Crestline is iffy, Southside usually good, 280 better, but loud. Sushi is not the best in town, but Southside is good. Chicken Noodle bowl at lunch is good but watch for spills and splashes. Coconut soup is best in town when you have a stuffy head.

For excellent Thai food in a terrific setting, it doesn't get much better than Surin. We had the Tom Kha soup (coconut and shrimp) followed by Chicken Pud Thai. Very fine eating for lunch for not a large price tag. Will definitely return for more!

I love this soup. I wish they sold it in bulk. I could drink this stuff for every meal! I usually order the spicy beef noodle bowl and have never been disappointed. I also like the super crunch roll. This is one of my favorites in Southside.

The coconut tofu soup was absolutely fantastic. I would consider buying a gallon of it to bring home, but the rest of the meal we had wasn't that great. I ordered the combo #4 (rainbow roll and california roll)- I've had *much* better at that price. We also ordered the calamari tempura. The tempura batter was light and crispy, but... More

My hubby and I love to eat at Surin, and now that I work in the Southside area of Birmingham, I can have lunch there too! They have a good lunch menu with choices at about $7. We have been going for years, and have tried many different dishes and have settled on some favorites. For appetizers at dinner, we... More

We ate there at noon on a Saturday and I was able to get a parking spot within the same block. Good start! I really enjoyed the tofu coconut soup with comes with the lunch entree. For my entree I had the Sushi Combo #1. I really liked the taste and texture of the Super Crunch Roll. The Tokyo Roll... More

Went to the highway 280 location, a former O'Charlies. Not the perfect Asian ambiance, still nice, not too noisy. The Thai noodle bowl was very good, stirfry beef was good, too. We only had one sushi roll, but it came super fast and was very good. We got there early for dinner and found that appetizers were half price, msomwe tried the... More

Love this place! Have been eating here for over 10 years! I have several favorites - so it's hard to try the others. Great sushi too.
