Really lovely food :-)

Walking the streets of the town I saw some guys eating a platter with cheese, olives and meat. Upon further inspection I noticed that it is real cheese (from my home). After not having decent cheese for exactly 357 days I could not resist and ordered a big mixed platter just for myself. I loved it (and I vouch for... More

I've lived in China for almost a year. There is a lot of Western food available, but most of the time it just not quite right. The Alley does it RIGHT. Had an amazing steak there and in our group of 6 everyone in the party was very pleased with their meal. The service is very good, the location quaint... More

We visited The Alley for cocktails with some friends last night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. We ordered 12 cocktails in total over 4hs, all were really delicious, used really alcohol and were very well priced (~30-35rmb each). We didn't eat but saw some pizzas come out that looked ace. Although strictly a restaurant, it's definitely worth... More

After two weeks on the road in China, the family was ready for something that reminded them of home. The 4.5 star TA review livened everyone's spirits as we hunted down this place (let's just say that if you ask locals where The Alley is, they send you down some dark alleys!). We ordered 2 pizzas, a pasta and a... More

We tried the pasta with the smoked duck breast and we aslo had a pizza. Both were the best dishes we had had in a very long time. This was a recommendation from the owner of the hotel we stayed at and he did not let us down. Thanks Alf

It is the best Western food restaurant we went to in Yangshuo. We had the smoked duck with pasta and tagliatelle carbonara there. Both were very tasty and filling. We also had two very nice cocktails there, the best we had in China. The price was more than fair too.

Good service, good English spoken, nice menus. I got the super burger (without BBQ sauce), and all the ingredients were great except the burger itself. Even making allowances for the beef in China, it was greasy, bland, and soft. The fries were limp and undercooked. The chocolate milkshake was awful, weird dairy product and gritty. My wife liked her penne... More

Nice place with a great selection of beers, i recommend the super burger as a great hunger killer. Beer prices are OK and they play most major football matches live, one of the few bars that do. Good location and opposite DMZ Bar which is the latest open bar.

The alley reputation is already well established. For foreign beers and high-quality western food, it is a necessary stop.
