Lovely ambience with roaring fire and great food! We had the set menu which is good value especially in an expensive place like San Pedro. We had the quinoa salad, salmon and Asada Leche, yum!

The food here was fine, as was the service. My wife and I visited for an early dinner - something that's hard to do in San Pedro de Atacama, and thankfully La Casona's kitchen was open. We found a few unique items on the menu but, after a couple of weeks of adventurous eating on our trip, we really just... More

This is a well-deserved lonely planet "top choice". Lovely setting with cosy open fire in the centre of the main indoor room, good, quick service, large portions and great meat cooked well. (Although remember to go one grade up from your preferred UK choice or you'll find it undercooked). We also enjoyed the recommend "aji verde" (green chilli) pisco. Good,... More

We had here the richest menu del dia in town for only 7,500 pesos (about 15usd). Ambience is charming, they have a fire place that warms the place without too much smell, service is ok. They only have one choice of wine - a mdidle range bottle that suited me just fine at a very reasonable price. Food was abundant... More

There was a nice buzz about this restaurant as in early evening it was almost full. Unfortunately this meant the service was a bit hit and miss. We had the 'parillada' which was a plentiful pile of different types of meats and cuts, but cooked rather poorly. We probably wouldn't bother again.

Excellent food and for a very good value, however, the staff was very rude and unhelpful. It took us almost 15 minutes to order and other 15 minutes to get our drinks served.

Having eaten at Adobe a few nights previously , we decided to stick with the same group of restaurants. The indoor dining areas at La Casona looked a bit gloomy, but we headed for the courtyard at the rear and were not disappointed. It had a covering of woven branches to keep the sun at bay, and the filtered light... More

Lovely setting with a nice atmosphere. I had the mushroom stew (I think it was called “Chupe de Championes”) and it was delicious. A friend has the Ensalada de la Casa which was supposed to have smoked salmon, but it came with an unappetizing mound of uncooked salmon so it was a bit of a disappointment. This is one of... More

Over 4 days in S.P we tried most of the restaurants on the Main Street, and this was by far the best. The pork ribs and the suckling pig were so tasty, the quality of the food was really impressive. We also had the lunch special here, the salmon was the best I have eaten in a long time. The... More
