Very nice meal

La Casona is a very nice place to eat in San Pedro de Atacama. The interior dining room is very elegant and the outside setting is nice as well. Food is very good, carefully made and tasty. We had the fish, and it was one of the best I had the Chile. It is not cheap (dishes are around 8000-10000... read more

We had a great meal here- steak again! A busy place, but food arrived quickly my had the menu del dia- chicken tonight- for a three course meal it was a bargain. I had Chorizo sirloin- pretty good . This is another SPDA restaurant that lights a bonfire in the middle of the restaurant - a bit over the top... More

A restaurant with lots of atmosphere on the main street in San Pedro. The food(although not the best we had in Chile) was very good with huge portions and the staff very friendly.Loved the fire in the middle of the "outdoor" part of the restaurant.

Memorable meal in this restaurant. The rest of the town can be very touristy, but this place had a great character and amazing food at reasonable prices. I had a very tender beef steak and avocado and tomato salad that was fresh and delicious.

Very good food - I had haddock with basil mashed potatoes. Fries would have been nicer had they been actual freshly cut ones.

Ate in La Cascona - Sonia had carne al jugo - 3 steaks with sauce! I had pastel de choclo - mince with olive and boiled egg with a cover of mashed grilled corn. Sonia had far too much on her plate and mine was very average. Accompanied by a bottle of local Carmenere.

With two hours to go before our first tour on arrival at San Pedro,we only wanted a light lunch - how about a sandwich! Decided on the Veggie sandwich with goats cheese, which was OK but not great and certainly not cheap. Restaurant was practically empty but service was still slow.Based on other Tripadviser reports may be a better place for... More

My wife and I ate here for dinner as our first delve in Chilean cuisine. We were pleased. The salads were very fresh with great avocado and tomato. The beef empanada was quite large and tasty. For our main we each got a different grilled meat and potato side. The papas picante (spicy mashed potatoes) were excellent and the grilled... More

Phenomenal dinner. We ate here for our first meal in Chile and it was an excellent introduction. Incredible grilled meats and potato sides. Salads were fresh and large, with delicious avocado and tomato. One of our best dining experiences in Chile.

Of the 5 restaurants eaten in San Pedro this ranked either 1 or 2. Most of our choices were more similar than different including quality of food and service. The waiter especially earned his tip as he was most engaging. An example was changing our wine glass to a bigger size since the wine we ordered was deserving of it.... More
