I don't know about the food but the hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream is amazing!! Costs 2,500 CLP but is definitely worth it. 10 out of 10!

On a Saturday night- the streets teeming with people, it was surprisingly difficult to find a restaurant that was open! We sat outside, which was pleasant enough. The service was apathetic. My husband enjoyed his burger, but the waiter forgot to put in his order for fries, so he ate half, then tried to wait, but it started becoming soggy... More

Discovered this restaurant on an Easter weekend trip to La Serena. Arriving on Friday evening, we found lots of places closed for the holiday. Luckily, La Colonial was not one of them. Having read a great review in the lonely planet we headed for this centrally located cafe in La Serena. We could only sit outside because we have children and they're not allowed inside as smokers are inside. We hung around waiting for a table and then had to split up between 2 tables. There aré better options, but is a restaurant to consider when you aré in downtown and you have budget limitations
