Nary's is probably the best place in Battambang for Khmer food. The fish amok especially is delicious. Toot and his wife Nary also run a very well organised and fun cooking class, which includes a trip to the market.

The owner is charming and the food very authentic and reasonably priced. He also sells a cookbook. a bit out ot the way but worth stopping in for lunch

My friends and I ate here two nights ago and throughly enjoyed our experience. My Khmer chicken curry was delicious and my friends fish amok was great too. We also shared spring rolls, which went down very easily. The host, presumably the owner, was very polite and helpful, giving great customer service throughout. My only slight issue was with the... Me and my classmate had to arrange something in Battambang for our study trip to Asia. We decided to go for a cooking class and found Toot and Nary on the internet. Toot was very helpful and answered our e-mails very quickly. We had to arrange a cooking class for 32 people. Toot told us it was not a problem.... More

Good food and nice owner trying to make a business with the cooking school. Food was tasty. I had the fish amok. It was very quiet on Monday night only one other table. No vibe going on. No ambience in the decor. Actually no decor. Street front is dead boring. It was okay for my first night in town as... More

One of my best favorite restaurant in Battambang, for their fish amok, their coconut soup ... 2 friends of mine did the cooking lessons and said good things about them. With average price for the good quality. Expect to wait 20 mn at least for food. So a good book or good company is compulsory, ah ah ah.

We ate here because of what we'd read on TA. they were not interested in serving us, more interested in watching the TV and we were the only customers. The food was very average, somewhat tasteless and small, being more expensive than other places in Battambang and no where near as tasty; we were the only ones there and they... More

the staff were great and cooked lovely tasty food using fresh vegetables & other ingredients. Although they had just finished putting a new roof on the restaurant, they quickly opened for business & set up a few tables to accommodate us and other customers.

We are two backpacing girls, who decided to take Nary Kitchens cooking class. And we didn't regret it!!! The class includes a trip to Psar Nat (the local market) for buying groceries, cooking a three course meal and then consuming it afterwards 😉 We went to the marked first with Toot, the husband. After the market the wife Nary took... More

A good fun Khmer cookery course that takes place in the kitchen at the back of the restaurant. It starts with a visit to the nearby local market to buy ingredients and you then make 3 main course items which are then eaten in the restaurant. We made fish amok, spring rolls and beef lok lak - all very tasty... More
