Description: Fresh Eats Café was founded in 2007 by Homeland NGO to help Cambodian...
Fresh Eats Café was founded in 2007 by Homeland NGO to help Cambodian children from disadvantaged backgrounds gain an education and learn skills for future employment. Outside of school hours the children come to the café to learn hospitality skills and English. During the course of the day we train up to six children during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our goal is to provide the children with skills that will offer the opportunity for future employment in the hospitality business. In addition to the hospitality skills learnt at the café, the children are also taught weaving, sewing and traditional dance. The products displayed at Fresh Eats Café are made by the children in care at the weaving centre run by Homeland NGO.  All the funds raised go directly to the children's education and sustainability of the activity.

Good lunch spot

Fun lunch spot. Good service, decent food and wide menu, not terribly expensive. We visited in off season so were suitably impressed to see the chef pop out the back and go down to the market to get ingredients for our lunch.

We had a light meal here for dinner and the food was excellent. I am a vegetarian and there was a good choice on the menu. I only required a light meal and had a great Cambodian salad and potato wedges. These were actually from real potatoes (not frozen) and had a lovely herb coating on them as well. Service... More

Went there because its a charity restaurant and the guide said it's good. Well we've been disappointed by the food, really basic for the price.

The service was poor; when I turned up I basically had to go into the back to find someone. Throughout the meal I then had to either stand up or try and grab someone as they passed. The food was worse :( I ordered the fired noodles. Sure, it was $3. It isn't going to be fancy. But they were... More

We thought we'd grab a take away sandwich here as it wasn't busy (empty- should have been the first sign). Little did we know we could have sat down and had a full meal in that time. So the menu for make your own sandwiches has each item priced individually. It starts at $1 for the baguette, then I order... More

Fresh Eats Cafe has a wide range of options both western-style and Khmer. They also offer plenty vegetarian options which can be hard to find in Cambodia. The stir fried vegetables were delicious and came with tofu & cashews! Smoothies are also very yummy :-) Fresh Eats is a project of local NGO Homeland supporting vulnerable children. I loved the... First had an evening meal of chicken curry and steamed rice - delicious! Next day we picked up some filled rolls to take out on a scooter for a picnic lunch. Our experience was good - friendly service and tasty food. This is a woman's co-operative so there were alsoa few handicraft items on sale - worth a look

Came here twice. First for lunch had the satay chicken. Could have done with a bit more sauce but the chicken was really tasty so didnt bother me much. Then came for dessert when the place I wanted to go for dinner and dessert was closed. They didnt have sticky rice unfortunately so I had crepe with banana and nutella... More

I went there for lunch today for the first time and was delighted with both the food and the service. I had heard that before, neither were wonderful, but something has definitely changed. I had a delicious lunch of a smoothie, a fruit plate, and a veggie/cashew/tofu stir fry with rice for $2 and ate everything. I will definitely go... More
