Great lunch spot

On probably one of the last hot Saturday's of the season. The offer of free beer by the owner primed the hook, I'm glad it did. The beer and wine was ice cold and slipped down a treat. The menu was reduced, I'm guessing due to the lateness of the season. We both had Captains salad and shared a... read more

Probably the worst food we ate in Bulgaria. Bland, undercooked, and the potatoes tasted mouldy. It was low season so maybe things werent as fresh as normal. The garlic they served wasnt sliced well at all so was too strong to eat. I would avoid this place. We had high hopes due to the high rating and huge tripadvisor reccommends... More

We searched this restaurant for a half an hour and finally on local girl showed un this place - and it was worth of searching!!! All the meals were fabulous, we even tried "local black sea shark" meat, Grilled meat and XXXL large deserts. The owner himself is working in this restaurant ad activley communicates with guests. The restaurant is... More

Many years ago, there were only a handful of restaurants in Old Nessebar. The most popular, Lozarska Kushta, still exists. Located in the street directly behind Lozarska Kushta is Mehana Pri Shopite. It's slightly tricky to find, but possibly the easiest way is to wander up near the far end of the island along Kraibrejna (the coastal road on the... More

Nice layout, must mention the fig tree in the garden. Food alright but traditional image ruined by straight ketchup from the bottle in the cooked cheese and tomato dish. Several dishes missing although appetizing looking in the menu...The effort of the waiter to speak a few words in every guest's language, commendable. According to other reviews here, somewhat overrated but... More

We were waiting all day to try bulgarian cusine in this place but after chicken soup and shopska salate we must stopped. Salate was great, soup wasn't good but the biggest misunderstanding were prices :( much higher than sunny beach or others towns at the seashore.

This was the only restaurant we were "talked into" using by the ubiquitous ushers-in. We were promised the best food in Nessebar and I guess it wasn't far off (Restaurant Andromeda still my favourite). We had the garlic bread - lovely - and various pork/chicken/fish dishes all seemingly freshly prepared and quickly served. Very reasonable price (compared with others in... More

Angel greated us and provided us some good advice. Service was ok...but could have been a bit more responsive. Mussels were quite small and maybe a bit overpriced for the portion size. Cheese and garlic bread was amazing! Rakia was tasty. The overall bill was moderate.

That is for sure the best place to enjoy sea food and together with the absolutely high-class wine it makes you go there again and again. There is something special about the place, maybe the feeling of being a guest, rather than a tourist, and the idea that the owner shares with you the best wine and the best mussels,... More

We came across this lovely place whilst wandering through Nessebar after a meal elsewhere. Something about the "sales patter" made us remember it and on our next visit to Nessebar we decided to give it a go - what a fabulous choice! The food was exceptional - my husband and I shared the pork and chicken "sach" (forgive me if... More
