Best brazillian food ever!

I usually eat out, especially for business and for leisure as well. This place is awesome, the food are really very good, the service and atmosphere is good as well. I really recomend to enjoy 'barreado' with cachaça and a local beer.

If you have few time in são paulo and must choose ONE place to have a meal, go straight to Tordesilhas. You will find a glimpse of the best of brazilian gastronomy. Fair price and very good service!

We ended up sharing a wide selection of appetizer small plates and even shared the main plates. Great service and a fantastic selection of pan-Brazilian specialties from different regions. Perfect for business dinner if it has an air of relaxation and fun dialogue.

Tordesilhas is an attractive, upscale venue. Service is good and prompt. We selected their tasting menu. It had a "gourmet flair" and was generally quite good. Some selections seemed a bit of a reach and all were small plates. We are not big eaters, but wished the portions were larger or there were a few more plates. In all, a... More

Nice place, good service, very good Brazilian food. A bit pricey for the food, and maybe too gourmet for what Brazilian food really is. However if you want to try a fancy version of local everyday food, this place is quite nice. I would come back

Tordesilhas is, in my opinion, the best window of Brazilian regional cuisines in a single outstanding restaurant. Under the highly competent direction of chef Maria Salles (one of the top five female chefs in Brazil), it serves the most representative dishes from the main regions of Brazil, such as duck in tucupy sauce (Amazon), moqueca fish stew (Bahia, Espirito Santo),... I like to cook, and I am quite good at it. I very rarely enjoy a restaurant, anywhere in the world. This one easily passed the threshold. They make very good caipirinhas and excellent side dishes to go with them. Then I had the duck leg. It is served in tucupi sauce, which is made from manioc. The sauce is... More

The food is excellent but definitely is NOT THE REAL and popular Brazilian food. We don't eat anything close to those expensive and fancy dishes in our daily basis or even in special ocasions. The average individual price for a full meal is around R$ 100-120.

I ate here during the "Restaurant Week" and loved it. The decoration is based on colonial period pieces, very simple, yet sofisticated and picturesque. The waiters where efficient and friendly. Exotic spices with subtle tastes from other regions of Brazil, like the "pequi" that perfumed the rice, turned the meal into a fist class experience. For me it's one of... More

The best meal we had while in Sao Paulo. It was also the best caipirinhas we has there as well. I had the shrimp bobo (coconut milk) and the wife had a fish and shrimp stew in tomato sauce. Overall A+ menu. Service was perfect and a waiter who spoke English. Had the Manny Araujo which was caramelized bananas with... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
