Nicely fills that Sao Paulo gap of decent Indian food

Coming from London, I really miss good Indian food. There is plenty of Indian-influenced cuisine here in Sao Paulo, but that's not the same thing. Tandoor does a really good job of filling this space, and offers some classic dishes along with house specials. The spices have a slightly different... read more

As a traveller from India, it is very rare to get Indian food that tastes like home when in the West. Tandoor nailed it. Simple. They didn't "over-spice" like most restaurants do and they used flavoring imported from India. They cooked Indian food as Indians eat it and have maintained a truth to Indian food that is rare to find... More

If you're looking for the real deal, this is it. I'm from Los Angeles, eat Indian food all the time and cook it at home sometimes and eating here made me feel right at home. All the flavors are spot on and are exactly what proper Indian food should taste like. In addition I had the pleasure of meeting the... More

Food was amazing. I recently had lobster at Jean Georges restaurant in NYC and thought that Tandoor's Lobster Tikka Masala was even better. I still dream about it!

Samosa and Chicken items are good. They have spring rolls and not Kati rolls. Other food stuff are just average you can have some taste similar to India but not very high hope.

Arrived with great expectations but was disappointed by the reception lad. He was using his i-phone and didn´t seem to care about us. Just confirmed we were at the right place. The waiters are in a hurry all the time and don't explain anything unless you ask. The food wasn't warm enough and the lamb tasted like red meat. The... More

Hello Maria We checked & found that the waiter was speaking to his wife enquiring about their child who was sick in the PUBLIC hospital waiting to be attended since 4 hours. We are facing a severe drought & a heat wave.If someone else sat on the table recommended for you & asked to put on the fan what would you... In general in Latin American continent, it's difficult to find good Indian food. Tandoor provides a very good alternative. They have interesting saffron rice. Which doesn't taste amazing though. I'd strongly recommend Paneer dishes. With more spicy dishes at times they tend to find it tough balancing the tastes. One advantage that the restaurant has, is it's location. It's very... More

There aren't many Indian places in SP, but this one is worth a try. It's nice to visit the restaurant for a fresher taste, but you can also order at home. Try the Garam Tikka Masala and don't miss the naan and the paste trio.
