I've eaten at this place three or four times. As other reviewer's have noted very good authentic Portuguese food. It's quite strange that Italian food in São Paulo is not authentic Italian but Portuguese food is. Having said that this is a more upmarket take on Portuguese food. Stylish surroundings, excellent wine list and very good service. My only criticism... More

Came highly recommended . That's where it stops. We arrived on time but the head chef was not there thus everything was delayed. I requested Caldo verde followed by Arroz de Pato as a main dish and wife had no starter but Acorda de Camarao. That's where things started to go wrong. First the delay then no soup which, I... More

My partner and I love good restaurants. And when a friend who had lived in Portugal and has a great liking for its cuisine invited us to Tasca da Esquina, we were surprised we had never heard of it. Was its existence a secret or were we out of that particular loop? Now it is near the top of our... More

I'm Portuguese so I know what I am talking about. This is the most authentic and best Portuguese restaurant in SP. The chefs are Portuguese from Portugal, the menu is authentic, the service is very good.

It's good to go there in a large group, so you can order several small plates and try everything this restaurant has to offer. Good food and excellent service.

Tasca da Esquina is a portuguese restaurant located near Paulista Avenue in São Paulo. It has a great service and very good cuisine. If you like to be surprised, you may want to experience the "Whatever Chef decides" that will present you with some traditional portuguese dishes divided in five portions.

I was there with my wife and another Brazilian couple. They were the ones recommending it as being a Portuguese I always doubt about the authenticity of Portguese cuisine when I'm abroad. Tasca da Esquina is true to its origins. It is an authentic portuguese cuisine experience, with the occasional mix of local Brazilian tastes, catering for a wonderful experience. The... More

I went with my family, and all of us loved the place. On Fridays, ask for "bacalhau na nata", and you will feel in heaven ... nice place to be with the family, and the owner is allways there, taking care of the service .
