Cebiche Carretillero!!

Nice Peruan Sea food restaurant with interesting menu and rich wine lists. Dificoult to get table without reservation or you have to come for diner a little bit early. Fast and attentive service. Delicious food and peruan spcialities.

I came here alone as I had a huge craving to try authentic (or as close as possible) Peruvian cebiche. I did not leave disappointed! A short walk from my hotel, this welcoming restaurant opens up into a big, spacious dining area. I was greeted and asked to have a table near the bar, which was no trouble. Relatively empty... More

Lovely, if a little pricey, place for a lunch or dinner - the menu is extensive enough to be interesting without being overbearing. Lots of nice ceviche options as well as lovely potato chips from the huge selection of Peruvian varieties. The decor is really cool and service is good with English speaking staff. Generally a cool and relaxed feel... More

Everything about this restaurant is excellent! It is very well liked by the locals for their food, service and value. Unfortunately I did not particularly enjoy my choice which was ceviche but thin at was of no fault of the restaurant. I did not realize Peruvian ceviche is different than Colombian ceviche.

Go for the tasting menu, you won't regret. The decor is a little bit worn, but the place is still very pleasant. Probably, one of the best restaurants to have a ceviche on a Sunday afternoon.

Some Singaporean friends working in Sao Paulo recommended this restaurant. Our group also wanted to try it because we have heard of the Chef Gaston and his famous restaurant in Peru. When we arrived around 7pm, we were surprised that the restaurant was empty, and the staff were still sorting things out. We only found out later that Brazilians typically... More

My husband visited this restaurant in Chile and it was so fantastic that he decided to take me here during my visit to SP. The food is absolutely fantastic. I don't have Peruvian food often, but it is all the rage in NYC for the past few years. I have to say ceviche is like Japanese sashimi with very interesting... More

Why only 3 if I am recommending a visit? I was disappointed with the Causas - maybe the kitchen was having an off night. My main plate, Tacu Tacu Arequipa, was considerably better. Very good setting for a group of friends or business dinner.

I went to Ls Mar with my family (party of 4) and we asked 3 cebiches (criolo, clasico, and mixto). The food was good but I already was in La Mar in Lima and I felt that in Lima the food is much much better (outstanding) and with more quantity. About the quantity was especially truth in the main course... More

During a holiday weekend at Sao Paulo, we made up our mind and tried La Mar Cebicheria. Service was terrific, waiters always taking care of us. Food quality really good. Fresh, tasty and nice presentation. Room of improvement? Yes, definetly. It would be really desireable trying to add more typical peruvian must dishes, such as: Aji de Gallina. We would... More
