The restaurant looks fantastic and I went because I had read good reviews in the cheap eats section in Time Out. The walls are covered with awards which significantly all date from the early 90s. I mentioned to the owner that I was very keen to try the food and and he waved me to the kitchen where I was... More

the place is very simple but worthwhile a visit and try the food... you go to the kitchen window, talk with the cook, and make your option... flavor is excellent, service is not top notch but very acceptable for the style of the restaurant... greek wine is available.... price is reasonable... generally one order will be enough for two... best... For a 2-person meal, me and my wife asked an entree, 1 dish each, 1 dessert and 2 glasses of juice. That meal cost us a total of approximately US$80,00. Worth trying, certainly; but I did not think it THAT sensational.

If your goal is FOOD, Acropoles is one of the best place to go in São Paulo. This place is small and the manager won´t think twice to squeeze you to settle another person, but the food is amazing. Old and traditional, Acropoles has excellent "raw material" and spices in right proportion. They are not there for a long time... More

Been there this dec/15th/2012. The restaurant is located in a rather decadent area of popular shops (Bom Retiro) some blocks from Luz Station, not so hard to find. The building is neither fancy. The small place is filled of tables placed in such a way that if someone behinds you sits you will not be able to move anymore. The... More

The charm of this restaurant is in its simplicity and atmosphere... the moussaka is always great...the other plates and the Greek salad (with no feta cheese) are very tasty... It is only a pity that the prices went up so much, to the level of much fancier restaurants...

The owner of the restaurant is Mr. Trassyvoulos Petrakis, a peculiar human being. He is around 90 years old, but still likes to take care of everything. He's lovely most of the time. On Saturdays and Sundays it may be a little crowded and the tables not very clean. There aren't menus and you have to go to the kitchen... More
