Quite good

I wouldnt say it is the best as some people seem to think (I still prefere Braz), but it is quite good. The sausage bread with cheese is delicious (although the crust is a bit too thick). Pizza was good (best margherita ever is a bit too much) and so was the traditional ricotta pie. Location is... read more

Pizza like in Italy? Most definitely not. It's much more of an American-style pizza, with thick dough and lots of toppings, and you can order half of the pizza with one topping, the other half with something else. It's not the classic individual pizzas, but you can order different sizes and share. Not really my kind of pizza, as it... More

As an Italian, I can state that this pizza doesn't resemble one bit to an Italian one!!! Tomato sauce is tasteless, and the mixture of ingredients that cover the pizza quite embarrassing... I don't understand why it is considered one of the best of the city. It's simply disgusting. Nevertheless - they tried to charge us with drinks we did... More

I had heard about Sao Paulo being a pizza mecca and tried some before going to Speranza without being surprised. My wait was well worth it; they have some of the best pizza I have ever eaten including some in Italy and Brooklyn. A lot of different options but their house specialties are amazing. Even their house wine is really... More

I have eaten here many times, the food is always great and so is the service! We ordered the zucchini pizza, which was really good! I think it might be the best one I have ever had. I definitely recommend this place, I would come here every week if it wasn't a little bit far!

We read São Paulo can compete with Naples when it comes to pizza. We thought we would test that claim and this restaurant was recommended. It certainly does a fantastic pizza. One of the best I have eaten. But that title still belongs to pizzeria in Naples. Definitely go for pizza here when your in São Paulo though. A large... More

This place was recommended to us by a local. I was really impressed with the quality of the food. One of the better pizzas I have had - fresh and very tasty. Some more assistance in English with the wine list and we would have spent far more time here on the night!

Original pizza toppings, good service and excellent taste. Recommended if you want to try a pizza paulistana on your visit to Sao Paulo.

Oh man, I love this pizza. Highly recommend the margherita and the Catupiry cheese one, a Brazilian specialty that will cross your mind when you go back to that poor domino's or pizza hut style of pizza you got back home... This is the real deal, wonderful pizza.

Speranza is an old-established, family-style Italian eatery, locally called cantinas. Speranza has two locations, but we usually go to their older one, on Treze de Maio. Like most other cantinas in São Paulo, they are usually packed with large and loud families. If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, go elsewhere. They must have a dozen different dining... Staying in Bela Vista

Neighborhood Profile
Bela Vista
Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the place to go for great pasta. Also called “Bixiga”, the area is an important cultural part of the city, with the bohemian and the religious costumes of its inhabitants on full display. In August, the large Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with a variety of Italian food and music. You can experience the liveliness of the neighborhood walking through the antiquities fair at Dom Orione Square or visiting the “Brazilian Caminito”, a version of the Argentinian street complete with colorful buildings. Bela Vista is also home to the traditional samba school “Vai-Vai”. Buy a ticket to a rehearsal and get a taste of what Carnival is like.
