Shintori is well known for its Teppanyaki Room where they prepare and serve delicious Teppanyaki (grilled meat, chicken or fish with vegetables). Everything is prepared on metal sheets tables in front of the customers by experienced cooks. Delicious! In addition, the restaurant has tipical Japanese decoration and a beautiful winter garden.

Authentic Japanese cuisine in the heart of Sao Paulo. Thy the sushi or the chop suey. Within walking distance of our hotel which was great!

A very stylish place but a sushi restaurant lives and dies by the freshness of its fish, and the skills of the sushi chef. Top marks to both here. I come every time I travel to São Paulo and sit at the sushi bar. It's a good choice if you're traveling on your own for business as it's quick, you... More

All of the wait staff were unusually unfriendly, We began to think that they were actually robots rather than human beings in an upscale restaurant. The food, fortunately was fairly good and they have a beautiful zen garden to look at while you dine. I have dined at many many Japanese restaurants, including in Japan, and this would be about... Food was great and filling. There were no tables when I went in so I was sat at the sushi bar, which is not what I planned on having. Had the sushi which was nice.

What a great food and experience. Starting with theur awesome huge japanese garden in the middle of the most busy business district in the whole country. Food here is traditional japanese, do not expect to find the occidental inventions with mango or cream cheese.

The building itself and the sheer size of the restaurant is very impressive and very centrally located just off Av. Paulista. They have a separate sushi section, where you can watch them prepare your food. Alternatively you can sit in the teppanyaki room, with bar style seats around individual hot plates. The whole looks onto an amazing japanese style garden,... More

I found the sushi average. this may have been due to the large group we went with, but even the side dishes were average.

One of our top picks for a laid back dinner in Sao Paulo. Has been offering a combination of good food, ambiance and service for many years. Their unique flamed scallop "sushi" is a must try. I wish they would change the white lighting in the gardens one day...

Great Japanese restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is beautifully designed and decorated, the food is a joy and great celebration. The presentation and preparation are very entertaining and the food itself is absolutely fantastic. Very recommended, however not cheap. Enjoy
