I´d start by saying that the view is just stunning, it really is! This view of São Paulo in the night is only comparable to places like Manhattan, Hong Kong or Tokyo. I´m really not exaggerating, I´m not saying the city is comparable but the view is just breathtaking. And that´s the end of the good news I´m afraid. This... More

My partner very kindly brought me here for my Birthday treat. As the experience was so poor Im not sure where to start. Please note the view is 5 stars, but the food and service is down as a lonely one star. If you don't speak Portuguese you may struggle here, thanks heavens my partner is Brazilian and he could... This restaurant is located in the 42° floor of one of Sao Paulo's tallest buildings so the views are incredible. The food, on the other hand, is mediocre. I had the ossobuco with risotto and this restaurant managed to do quite a difficult thing, turn Brazilian beef flavourless. To make things worse, prices are ridiculously high. I don't mind paying... Terraço Italia is a nice restaurant, nothing but that. The food is well prepared, not amazing and the price is very expensive. The dishes are a little small considering the prices. The amazing thing is the view, one of the best in São Paulo. Go prepared to spend around R$500,00 in a couple.

Heavily overpriced, you are paying for totally normal, ok food and a stunning view. If you want good food and the view of Sampa at the same time, head over to the Syke restaurant @ the Hotel Uniqe that would be much more rewarding in every aspect. How they can charge for simple dishes such astronomic prices is beyond me!!... More

food was fine, but the view was amazing... you get a sense of how big SP really is. I went with business colleagues on a sunday night and we were the only table that wasn't couples. This is an Italian restaurant on the 41st floor of the Edificio Italia, I'm told is the tallest building in Sao Paulo. Yes the meal was expensive but you are paying for the food and the view. We went on a Sunday morning for the buffet and the food was very good. I enjoyed the beef and the pork chops... More

Staying in Republica

Neighborhood Profile
Republica
Part of the historical center of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighborhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
