Location, location, location. Bate Ponto's view is amazing and the neighborhood is incredibly charming. We had strawberry caipirinhas and shrimp pastéis as appetizers and they were very good. The service was slow and confusing. I asked for the octopus provencal and it was very disappointed. My friends were disappointed about their orders as well. Overcooked shrimp and tasteless mashed potatoes.... More

It is about the 5th time I go to this restaurant, I've had not so good experiences in the past but last time was really the Last. Service is something unbelievable.... Terrible! Waiters are not polite, not clever and do not really care. Overall it also seems management is not present. It took so much time, food was not good... More

The place is ok, kind of cozy, on an extremely charming neighborhood, but food is poor and extremely overpriced. We ordered a shrimp moqueca, which was supposed to serve two people, and could not believe the half dozen tiny schrimps inside the clay pan.

This restaurant is very nicely set, but has a serious management problem (and/or owners couldn't care less). Staff are attentive and friendly, but several things indicate there's a deeper rooted problem. First, some dishes are unavailable because they "cannot find the fish at an acceptable price". The alternatives offered come at an (unlisted) premium. I am fine with businesses turning... More

This is a terrific restaurant situated in a lovely old Portuguese fishing village, about 15 km from downtown Florianopolis. The seafood stew (moqueca) was one of the culinary highlights of our trips to Brazil. It includes fish, shrimps and other seafood and it is prepared Bahian style with coconut milk and farofa on the side; truly delicious. The portion you... More
