We walked an hour to get here and it was so worth it! We had the fried polenta, 1 churrasco stick that was a mix of lamb, beef, pork and chicken and a the beef with an over easy egg and fries and 2 cocktail. It was all great. This was my husbands favorite meal. The prices were great 2.... More

Locals fight for it, so you get there at noon or be prepared to wait. Garlic bread, spicy sausage, or fried polentas shaped as French fries and cover with parmesan are a perfect companion to your beer or caipirnha. It is meat place that you can count on, cuts of your choice, salads are amazing and you can make whatever... More

Went to Komka based on other reviews. A little difficult to find but worth it. One downside was the staff did not speak English but we made do. Probably one of the most traditional barbecue served in Porto Alegre. Good prices, nice people (the manager/owner is always there). Suggestions: Picanha, Lombo com queijo and Polenta frita com queijo.

This is a nice restaurant in Porto Alegre basically known by the locals. You have to arrive at noon or you will have to wait for a table. "Polenta" and Äimpim (Yuka) are good starters. The main course I would recommend any kind of beef. Fries are good. Try local dessert "Sagu" prepared with red wine.

Very nice place to have lunch. Great meet, good variety of side dishes and best sagu desert on town.
