When I say it's one of the best, believe me. Amazing. We were prepared for a treat and got much more than what we expected! I won't extend too much in the details because, honestly, you should enjoy the surprise. The only way you won't enjoy it is either if you are vegan or if you are one of those... More

This family-owned restaurant is a hidden gem on the countryside of Rio de Janeiro. Not surprisingly it won many different awards over the last decades. You will eat like a Tsar. They will offer you a banquet that you will long remember. Everything here is perfect. The food is amazing. The staff is attentive and ready to answer all your... More

This russian themed restaurant surprised with the great variety of starters. Very cozy atmosphere with fireplaces. You are under the impression, you enter somebody´s private home. Interesting decoration items all over the walls, even Boris Jelzin and Vladimir Putin are present. The service personell do know the ingredientes of the food items very well and were able to inform with... More

You should plan to spend at least two hours to enjoy the food, the vodka, the restaurant decoration and the conversation with the couple that run the restaurant. They worked for D. Irene for several years learned everything from this russian lady and offer a delightful experience.

There is nothing else to add regarding this restaurant, the previous reviews already described everything about this amazing russian banquet. Let me add some photos and advise you "don't loose the opportunity to enjoy the lunch or dinner without similar style at Brazil".

It is not just like going to a restaurant, it is a program itself. This restaurant is a pleasant stop in Teresópolis. You shouldn´t go if you just want food or is in a hurry. The typical russian banquet takes time and effort :). Lots of food, all of it good. You must book in advance (and even choose the... More

Simply amazing, from the six course banquet to their home made vodca. The owners elevate simple dishes like beef strogonoff and chicken kiev to higher standards. Everything was superb!

Fabulous restaurant. Amazing own-brand vodka. The old Russian cuisine experience in beautiful surroundings. The dishes kept on coming - and coming. I'd advise prospective diners to skip breakfast and lunch if you're going for dinner. Not so easy to find, as it's in a mountain resort about 2 hours drive from Rio, but worth the trip. Loved it!

The two previous reviews said it all. It is not cheap (90R$ + tax), exclusive (reservation mandatory, unadvertised location, private rooms) informative thanks to the brief history of the family and Russian cuisine. Note there is a "light" version of the unique menu with only 3 (still very well served) courses, for 65R$. Wish I had tested the home made... More
