This was one of our favorite restaurants during a three-week trip to Brazil. The drinks are great and the food is inventive and interesting. We liked it so much we dined here a second night during a five day stay in Rio, but were disappointed when the waiter brought the appetizers after the main course! But the manager was gracious... We went to this restaurant based on other reviews. We sat upstairs, away from the crowds (and chairs). So glad we did. Upstairs is like another world. You must remove your shoes and are then shown to your table. The tables are very low and have cushions and low benches surrounding them. Your feet are delighted as they sink into... More

We came back to that restaurant for our 3rd visit to Rio. This place is just amazing. A small funky restaurant full of surprises. The dishes are all delicious from starters (slow cooked egg, quinoa salad, tartare) to the mains (beef, cod, prawns) and of course the desserts don't miss the banana flambee. Small and cosy terrasse in ipanema. For... More

It offered a very bizarre range of fusion foods none of which seemed to work properly - the atmosphere and general ambience of the place seemed to be geared to young professional women who'd just broken up with their boyfriends... For me it seemed to be expensive, poor quality/badly thought out food combos, and very poor service. I guess they... More

When you make a res you can choose the first or second floor or the veranda. WE chose the veranda and loved sitting outside people watching and see life go by in this nice neighborhood. It seemed like we were the only tourist and the vibe was very lively. The food was nicely prepared, the server spoke decent English and... More

I had dinner with my girlfriend on Saturday, 2nd of August. One week later I realized that my credit card got cloned, and that the copy was used for payments of several thousand Reais at shops in Rio de Janeiro. As I had some bad experience with credit card clones in Rio before, I only used the card once, and... More

A good choice, food was tasty, but very expensive for what you got, upstairs is unique, you sit on tiny chairs at tiny tables about 1 foot off the floor. Not comfortable - sit downstairs if you have choice. Busy place so go early. Easy to find.

The food here kind of resembles rio's landscapes, where the sea meets the mountains in perfect harmony. Cod with vegetables and bacon, octopus with broccoli, small meatballs, and seafood dumplings...it all tasted just amazing, despite not being exactly the combinations you'd expect! Add a very good caipirinha, and you'll know why dinner here is definitely recommended. Not cheap, but not... More

Well, I landed in Rio de Janeiro, first time there, and wasn’t totally sure where to go eat. I was hungry after a long commute but didn’t want to settle for just anything. Brazil has a number of traditional dishes, mainly focused on meat, cheese and bread items, with the addition of fresh fruits and juices. However, I was able... More
