Just by chance we stumbled across this little gem just 1 street up from Ipamema Beach. It was really crowded and the first 2 days we were not able to get a table. Luckily we stayed in a B&B just across the street and on our 3rd night we got in (Make on-line reservations). We startet out with some really... More

The wait at this place is supposed to be ridiculous at the weekend but as I was here on a Monday it was no more than a 10 minute wait. Reasonable for one of the most popular establishments in rio right now. I wanted to love it as it has great atmosphere, decor and patio space - think dining al... More

Zaza quickly becomes a favourite and a pace to return to, either for dinner sitting on the cushions upstairs or on the sunny terrace at lunchtime. A little pricey and long waiting times on busy weekends but definitely a must to soak in the Ipanema vibe!

One of the many little restaurants in Ipanema, not the most visually appealing from the outside, but once in the mixture of decoration makes you very interested in the place (oriental/indian, french, pop art, etc...) The food which is what we came for was FANTASTIC. Tried the 3 ceviche/carpaccio platter for appetizer and then the exotic risotto, all excellent as... More

1. Request to sit upstairs *It is a room that requires you to take your shoes off, and tables are a few feet off the floor. It is a unique experience, and worth it. 2. There is almost always a wait, so just expect it. *We were quoted two hours on a Friday night. We came back on a Sunday... More

One evening during the World Cup we decided to try this highly rated restaurant. It did not let us down one bit. Drinks/cocktails were amazing, food was spectacular, and prices were a fraction of what you'd expect to pay in the States for such a restaurant. Would definitely recommend and go back next time!

It's hard to come by great quality in Rio for the most part so while it's pricey, it's gorgeous food in a lovely setting. Highly recommend coming back a few times!

Love the place. The second floor has amazing tables with pillows, very cozy, but you have to take your shoes off to get in. The decoration is really nice also. For the second floor, I recommend you book a table cause it is often busy. The only thing I don't like about the place is that they are expensive for... More

We had a great early dinner here. We shared a starter and dessert and our main courses were amazing. The service was good and we received good value for money
