Interesting !

Wherever we go, we spend a lot for the food. Not the amount of the money, but what you get in return is important. Rio has many fancy places, but very few real good food. Try to find where locals go. Touristic and famous places are disappointing. If you want to say "I've been there", you may go... read more

We had dinner at ZaZa during Carnaval 2015. Naturally, it was popular and crowded as it is just two blocks from Ipanema beach. The food was excellent, tasty and beautifully prepared. Service was prompt, friendly and unobtrusive. Located in an older building, it has a charming atmosphere with nice decorations. We would definitely go back!

Was there just before Carnaval. Food was good, tried a number of things. Also drinks weren't bad either. Service was a little inattentive, but pretty good overall. Not cheap but the relaxed atmosphere led to a nice dinner

This place was highly recommended by our friends and even the concierge at our hotel. It was an adorable little bistro in the heart of Ipanema. Starting from the whimsical decor to the great fusion food and mind blowing drinks, this place truly lived up to our expectations and the hype. The best part about this place was that it... More

We wanted something less formal but with high quality food and Zaza exceeded expectations. The food was excellent with one characteristic of presenting obvious (but as an afterthought) combinations that nevertheless are not so common. One example is marinated and then grilled tuna with wasabi sauce. The association with sushi comes to mind instantly and yet the whole dish is... More

I don't really know how to describe the food here because it is a strange, but wonderful blend between Asian and European flavors. I had a lamb dish that had a cheese ravioli in a sort of Thai-style coconut milk sauce. It was heavy, but wonderful. My wife got a spicy chicken curry that was more Thai than Indian style... More

If you want to try some fusion food step in to Zaza and enjoy the deliciousness they can offer. Its always busy so make sure either you do reservation in advance or step in early. They have 2 seating arrangements on top floor is floor seating with tables ( like old times ) and at the entrance they have the... More

This was the second time we went there for lunch and again it was a treat. Excellent food. Great service and great ambiance, kind of hippie-like. It has a relaxed atmosphere, no hurry, no pushy. Helpful staff. Arrive early in the afternoon (opens at 13h) to be sure to have a table. This place is popular. Although you pay a... More

Very good place. Food was great, waiters were friendly, nice atmosphere, Will go back. Only negative is the expensive wine, but guess this is generally the case in Rio.
