Nice Place to eat and have desert

Good food and really good deserts. We came by here after dinner for a place to sit and talk and were pleasantly surprised. We had their take on a creme brule (had bananas) and some wine. We went to this place for a friend s birthday and we had a very good time. Food is fresh and tasty, the place is located in Ipanema, it is clean and staff is great, professional and friendly. Book for the terrace it is nicer than inside. The only thing that we were surprised about is the prices of the... More

Stunning restaurant, gorgeous decor and very romantic. Food is exquisite, best meal I had in Rio. Would highly recommend. Sit upstairs in the shisha lounge area, very cool

The decor has many visual references of different parts of the world. I recommend you try the menu carpaccio and of course a different tropical drink.

Had scouted this place before we left the UK and went for lunch on our first day in Rio. We went for their daily fixed price menu and it was well worth it. We sat on the Terrace which was lovely because of the heat. So good we booked for dinner on our final night too where we sat upstairs... More

Walked past this gem one afternoon and noticed how beautiful and interesting it looked. We popped in for a late lunch and it was even better then expected. Menus was also in English and gluten free options available. Staff friendly and would giggle over the language barrier. We shared a delicious tapioca and cheese appetiser which I could have ordered... More

I go to Zaza all the time, cause I live in Rio, but I already took friends from France, England and NY, including a chef and owner of 4 restaurants in NY and it's the only place everybody is very satisfied, with food, drinks and deserts. I'm happy to have a Zaza Bistrô in Rio.

The "lamb spheres" are delicious (should have asked just those instead of the warm appetizers platter), as is the triple lime caipirinha. The main dish (fish) was just ok, but my wife loved her veggie moqueca (dish of the day).

I have been to zaza bistrot several times. The food is great, nice different brazilian recipes, location is perfect and the lightining is nice - this is always an important issue to me. There was just one time that i saw a bug in my table but the manager was so upset and nice, that he made the incident better.

Stopped by this place after eating at a number of others in the area. Loved the unusual decor and style of the place, and the food was simply superb. The food took time but this gave us enough time to enjoy a delightful wine from Uruguay. I will be going back, probably many times!
