This Churroscuria was recommended by a friend who I know to be a seasoned traveler with a sophisticated pallet. My wife and I went in with high expectations. I should note that I have been coming to Brazil for years, just not Rio, so I know good Churrascu. This is not good. Marginal atmosphere. The salad bar was mostly salads... More

I have been to the Porcao Flamengo and this location does not compare. It is much smaller and so is the selection of items. Yes you have the selection of meats, but a much smaller choice of other items.

The restaurant is an all you can eat in brasilian way. you pay 109 reals per person. you can eat all sorts of angus meat, salads and sushi (who choose sushi by the way?). meat was awesome. drinks are extra.

Starve yourself all day so you can get your money's worth. RS109 each and dessert and drinks are extra. Cannot fault the quality of the meat or the service. If you're on a tight budget, don't bother.

Takes forever to receive the beverages, specially if you ask for a common drink. The price per person is fixed, and higher than published on internet. We have visited it for a Saturday lunch, that usually includes a "feijoada" (black beans with individual offers of suine meats), very, very simple for the price. Other less expensive meat places offers a... More

It was good and plenty of meat and it was tasty. Vegetables in buffet were tasteless, very disappointing. I think it is overpriced for what it is.

I have been going to Porcao Ipanema over 15 years. It is the oldest of their 4 locations in Brazil. My review is mixed. The quality of the beef is the top in Rio and probably most of Brazil. The service has deteriorated over the last 4 years as has the physical appearance of the facility. The buffet bar and... More

If you are a meat eater its the must go to place in Rio . You'll have a real treat, friendly waiters who ciruclate around the tables with skewers, also the buffet is great, fruits, fish, even a selection of sushi if you wish so and the steaks are not enough. Hihgly recommended.

I have been to this place a few times. The food is very good. My only complaint is not food related; the Ipanema branch is always very calm, not a spot to meet people, but more appropriate for a nice business meeting.
