Sad to say this restaurant is not worth going anymore! We have eaten at Porcao for years and even knew the original owners; however, since they sold the company to a bank the quality of food has gone down tremendously! The service is still fantastic, however the price you will pay for the quality you will get is very disappointing! The... More

This is a place where you are going to taste many different types of meat . The restaurant itself looks like a fast food restaurant, not fancy at all, which is a little ironic compared to the high prices you are paying. We were in this restaurant for World Cup in July 2014, the place was completely full. We enjoyed... More

We got the restarant recommended from some friends and desided that we wantet to try the "churrascheria" when we were in Rio, and this was supposed to be the best one. First of all it was pretty expensive, both the food and drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant was horrible. It felt like you where at fast food restaurant or... More

When you go to a "churrascheria" with a name as famous as Porcao in Rio, you do expect to pay more compared to other places. but to eat one of the best meat in the world. However in this Porcao of Ipanema, you do pay a lot but all the rest is between average and poor: 1. the restaurant inside... More

For around US$60+ per person, this restaurant was not up to par. Expect the ambience and furniture of a nice cafeteria (or run of the mill town restaurant), not more. There was no music, no nice view, no nice furniture, nothing. Just average. The meat was great and plentiful. The salad bar was good. They also provided unlimited sushi, which... More

The food is good, although I couldn't say that it is excellent, since the meet was very salted, which makes you want to keep drinking more water or whatever you're drinking. The salad bar is great (lots of quality sides) though. It might be because of the world cup, but the price was very high (around $70 USD total), price... More

Just 24 hours in Rio and we wanted to enjoy a genuine churascario meal. Our hotel recommended the Porccao, Ipanema, and the food was simply superb. Excellent service, with an extensive and delicious buffet salad bar, including seafood and sushi, and then there was the meat...just off the chart outstanding. Truly a carnivores carnival, with an endless supply of all... More

The best Brazilian churascaria meal I've ever had. Unlimited helpings, eat till you drop. Great selection of meats including succulent lamb, pork, chicken and beef. Includes live sushi and salad bar. Reasonably priced as well, highly recommended of you're in the ipanema area of Rio.

$50 AUD is more than we were used to spending in Rio, but that was forgotten once we had our first bite of the amazing churrasco! They provide each table with complementary fries, onion rings (amazing), and fried bananas (not my cup of tea). The meat was brought to the table endlessly, and each one is as amazing as the... More

What an excellent concept - various steaks and other meat brought to your table on a carvery/buffet type of basis. We had a superb meal and the quality of service was top class. I shall certainly return to this restaurant on my next visit to Rio!
