Must Try - Always go for the suggestions

This is a spot I used to go to frequently for over 6months when I was in Rio. They pay a lot of attention to use local, fresh organic products, and the staff is genuine about it. We had a fantastic lunch here after stumbling across the restaurant just off Praca XV in Rio. It's got a cute outside area, great for people watching but we chose to eat inside. It's all delicious french food, cooked fresh. Some good wines on the menu, we had a carafe with lunch. The waiters were french, spoke great English, they... More

This is a great casual Bistro while visiting Arco de Teles, Paco Imperial and the Tiradentes Palace. All a few minutes away. The staff is extremely friendly with nice Food options. I ordered the soup and fish option which were in good portions and well cooked. It's very casual and the staff are proud of their natural ingredients. Definitely a... More

Upon entering the delightful Bistro we were whisked off to the heart of France. Organic Provence! Service was impeccable from the start and we could not feel more welcome - having tried to avoid the crowds on Lovers Day we arrived very late but were welcomed like old friends. The anticipation of finally dining at this beautiful little corner of... More

As an expat and having travelled extensively in my life I'm probably quite critical when it comes to service, good food and cool design. So it's a pleasant surprise to experience a French Bistro in the middle of Rio's old and charming part of the centre. I normally bring a couple of friends to introduce them to a gastronomic experience... More

As I said I would do, in my previous review, I went back to the bistrot to give it another shot and I have to say I am glad I did it. At this time there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Food was very tasty and service was excellent. I had a very enjoyable meal and will return when... More

Decided to give this bistrot a try after hearing good things about it. When I got there first impression was really good. It is incrusted in Rio´s historical area which gives the experience a totally different atmosphere, service was very attentive and friendly taking our order and providing suggestions for wine pairing. The wine list is very interesting and composed... More

We stopped at Coccinelle Bistro with my mum on our way to Niteroi... A very plaisant discovery in a city where you do not eat good so easily... Excelent quality mixed with the natural originality of the Chef!... Quite à surprise... The fine and non-abusive wine selection participates to the overall quality as well ... A very pleasant moment in... More

Coccinelle is a great place to have lunch when visiting the historical center of Rio. I was there last week and really enjoyed the french japanese combination. The kitchen is visible from the dining room and it all seems very fresh and home made. Nice selection of french organic wines by the glass, I really liked the "Chochotte" from Luberon.

I went to Coccinelle by chance with friends, and it's a really pleasant restaurant in a beautiful setting. The kitchen is visible from the dining area, but the staff is careful to stay reasonably quiet and not intrusive. I tried the gazpacho and the hachis parmentier. They were both very good. It's not easy to find quality, European dishes like... More
